We take a look back at Cristiano Ronaldo’s life off the field.
The decorated soccer player, who is raising five children with fiancée Georgina Rodriguez, told Hello! via the New York Post in 2018, “Being a parent and raising a family is honestly the greatest privilege for me.”
Ronaldo and Rodriguez are also parents to twins Eva Maria and Mateo, and daughters Alana and Bella. They lost Bella’s twin brother at birth.
The Portuguese player also has a son, Cristiano Junior, from a previous relationship.
The couple frequently shares updates on their family life on social media, including getting engaged in August 2025 after eight years of dating.

Georgina Rodriguez
The professional soccer player and the model first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where the latter was working as a sales assistant.
“I felt something in my heart that I couldn’t explain, as if we had known each other all my life,” she told Vogue Arabia in May 2025, adding that there was “an inexplicable peace and energy” when the two “held hands for the first time.”
“Just like us, when people are in love, they know what that strong connection is. That glow we had from the moment we met has also grown and matured over time,” she added.
Ronaldo confessed in the Netflix series I Am Georgina that he never expected they would hit it off so quickly.
“But after a while, I felt like she was the woman in my life,” he added.
Rodriguez couldn’t be happier, calling her other half “amazing” and “a very normal guy.”
“I dreamed of having Prince Charming by my side, and now I have him,” she gushed.
The two got engaged in August 2025, with Rodriguez showing off a giant sparkler in an Instagram post at the time.
Along with her modeling career, Rodriguez is also an influencer with over 73 million followers on Instagram.

Ronaldo’s eldest son Cristiano was born on June 17, 2010.
The soccer champion kept the identity of his eldest son’s mother a secret.
Upon the birth of his son, Ronaldo posted on X magazine, “It is with great joy and emotion that I announce that I have recently become the father of a baby boy. By agreement with the baby’s mother, who wishes to keep his identity secret, my son will be placed under my exclusive guardianship.”
In 2015, during an appearance on “The Jonathan Ross Show,” he said parts of his life are “private” and people should respect that.
“When Cristiano grows up, I’m always going to tell him the truth, because he deserves it and he’s my son. But I’m not going to tell it just because people want me to.”
Now a teenager, Cristiano Jr. is following in his father’s footsteps, playing soccer and training at a youth club.
In May 2025, Ronaldo announced on his Instagram Story that Cristiano was playing for Portugal’s youth team in a tournament in Croatia, saying: “I’m so proud of you, son!”
Eva Maria and Mateo Ronaldo
Ronaldo gave birth to his first two children through a surrogate mother in June 2017.
He shared the news on Facebook at the time, writing, “So happy to have two new loves in my life 🙏❤.”
Over the years, Ronaldo has given glimpses into the twins’ lives, including birthday parties, holidays and family trips.
“My babies Eva and Mateo celebrate their 1st birthday today!” he captioned a photo of the celebration on Instagram in 2018. “Congratulations, my dear children!”
Rodriguez soon became the mother of Ronaldo’s three children, telling Vogue Mexico in 2024: “Becoming a mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me and is my absolute priority. Every moment I spend with my family is when I am the happiest and most aware.”

Just weeks after the birth of Eva and Mateo, Ronaldo revealed that he and Rodriguez are expecting a child together.
The couple gave birth to their first child, Alana, on November 12, 2017.
In 2022’s I Am Georgina, Alana gave a funny on-camera answer when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up.
“Nothing,” she answered in Spanish. “Nothing. I just want to stay home and be peaceful.”
Her father laughed and predicted that his daughter would probably pursue a career in theater.
Bella and her twin brother Angel
In October 2021, Ronaldo and Rodriguez revealed they were expecting twins with a shot of themselves accompanied by an ultrasound photo.
However, in April 2022, the father of five announced the shocking news that one of his twin babies died during childbirth.
“It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of our baby. This is the greatest pain for any parent,” Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced in a joint statement via social media at the time.
“Only the birth of a girl gives us the strength to live this moment with hope and happiness,” they continued, confirming that Bella survived.
In November 2022, Ronaldo told his older children how he told them that Vela survived, but that his twin brother Ángel had died.
Ronaldo told Piers Morgan during the sit-in that his children asked where the other babies were.
“After a week, I say: ‘Let’s be honest with the kids, let’s say Angel, this is his name, that he went to heaven,'” Ronaldo said.
The player said he talks about Angel every day with his family.
“The kids understood. We yelled around the table and said, ‘Dad, we did this for Ángel,’ and pointed to the sky. I like it best because Ángel is part of their lives. I’m not going to lie to the kids. I’m going to tell the truth. It was a difficult process.”
