Multiple gloves were found in the same location where the FBI previously recovered a black glove that may have been linked to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
New York Post reporters were also at the scene Sunday afternoon when three more discarded gloves were discovered in the Catalina Foothills, about two miles from Nancy’s home.
It’s not clear if these gloves are connected to her case, but the Post alerted the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
However, one of the gloves found during the search matched the one worn by the suspect in footage released by the FBI last week.
An FBI spokesperson told Fox News Sunday that the gloves contained different DNA than that found at the scene.
Investigators are awaiting test results and will then upload the DNA profile to a national database to identify the wearer.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the DNA does not belong to anyone “close” to the 84-year-old grandmother.
The Post first reported on the gloves, which the FBI found on a dirt path near Guthrie’s home.
Nancy, the mother of “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie, was first reported missing from her home on Feb. 1 after she failed to show up for Sunday church services.
Her residence was quickly designated a crime scene.
Police found blood stains outside Nancy’s home.
Last week, horrifying videos and photos were released of a masked intruder tampering with Nancy’s home camera hours before she disappeared.
Arizona State Police are currently flying high-tech Bluetooth signal detectors, also known as signal sniffers, over the Tucson, Arizona, desert to detect signals from Guthrie’s pacemaker.
The elderly woman’s pacemaker disconnected from the app on her phone just before 2 a.m. on February 1, and her Google Nest Cam also disconnected around that time.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos acknowledged Friday that the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, could take “many years.”
Ransom notes have been sent to multiple media outlets demanding payment.
Savannah and her two brothers released a tearful video asking for their mother’s return.
Page Six exclusively reported that Savannah, 54, will be leaving the Today show until she finds her mother.
