A week after winning Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, Bad Bunny delivered one of the best performances of his career at last night’s Super Bowl halftime show. The Puerto Rican rapper made history as the first male Latin artist to headline the event, featuring several songs from his award-winning album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS in his setlist.

Prior to the match, Bad Bunny hinted that there would be a guest on stage, but he didn’t say who. In fact, the musicians included Lady Gaga, who performed “Die With a Smile” during her set, and Ricky Martin, who sang “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii.” Alix Earle, Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and Karol G also danced on stage.

He started his performance with “Tití Me Preguntó”, followed by “Yo Perreo Sola”, “Safaera”, “Party”, “VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR”, “EoO”, “Monaco”, “Die With a Smile”, “BAILE INoLVIDABLE”, “NUEVAYoL”, “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii”, “El Apagon,” he continued. “Cafe Conlon” and “DtMF”.

The show’s setup was elaborate and seemed to mimic the staging of Bad Bunny’s 2025 Puerto Rico residency, featuring La Casita (a stage piece modeled after a traditional Puerto Rican home) and local shops.

In an emotional moment during the show, Bad Bunny moved along the audience, waving flags from countries all over the Americas and naming them. “I hope my people never leave,” he told the crowd in Spanish.

In addition to Ricky Martin, Gaga, and other celebrities, he welcomed another special guest to the stage. That’s Maria Antonia Kay, owner of Tonitas, a bar and Latin social club in New York City. When he sang the line “en casa de Toñitas” from the song “NUEVAYoL,” Bad Bunny danced toward the bar where Kaye was standing, bringing the lyrics to life.

The overall message of the show was about unity, with Bad Bunny holding a soccer ball that read “Together, We Are America.” At one point in “Monaco,” he ad-libbed to the audience in Spanish, “My name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio. If I’m here today at Super Bowl 60, it’s because I continued to believe in me,” embracing his homeland and celebrating Puerto Rican culture.

At the pregame press conference, Bad Bunny promised viewers a good time. “I just want people to have fun,” he said. “It’s going to be a big party. I want to bring a lot of my culture to the stage. I don’t want to spoil anything. It’s easy. People just need to think about dancing. I know I said you have a month to learn Spanish, but you don’t even need that! You better learn to dance. There’s no dance like dance that comes from the heart.”

When asked how he was feeling leading up to the show, he admitted, “Honestly, I don’t know how I feel. This is tough, you know? I said I’m still on tour. I just went to the Grammys last week. All of that has been working on this show and what’s next Sunday. So, of course, it’s been very difficult. I have a lot of gratitude. That’s how I’m spending my time.” This album is the one I feel most grateful for throughout DTmF’s year, even though it was a very serious thing. ”

“I’m happy, but I’m just processing the day and just living,” he continued. “I’m excited about this performance, but I’m more excited about the people, my family, my friends, the people I know who have always believed in me, and they’re happy because of this moment and this culture. That’s what makes this show special.”
