A previously reported video of a confrontation between the director of “Outer Banks” and a female production assistant has been released.
The incident first made headlines in October, when sources told TMZ that director Jonas Pate was grabbed, shaken and screamed at over the PA during production on the fifth and final season of the Netflix show.
The newspaper reported that actors Madeline Cline, 28, and Chase Stokes, 33, stepped in to intervene.
On Wednesday, TMZ obtained footage showing at least part of the ordeal.
In it, the PA in question was seen passing through a room packed with cast and crew, as well as one main camera.
The girl walked in front of the camera and passed Pate, 56. Ms. Pate quickly turned around and grabbed her arm, urging her to turn around and face him as he spoke to her.
The released video does not include audio, so his tone and volume are unclear. However, several people in the room did turn towards them.
Klein, who was sitting on the other side of the camera, immediately stood up and walked over to them with his arms raised, as if pointing.
She continued talking to Pate as the security guard left, at which point the clip ended.
It is unclear whether Stokes was present.
According to TMZ, Pate became irritated because he repeatedly told the PA not to walk in front of the camera.
As for PA, she is reportedly unhappy and surprised by the situation.
When news of the incident first broke, multiple people involved in the production told the outlet that Pate’s alleged behavior was not “out of the ordinary,” with one adding, “It’s about time to go public.”
The tension on set was reportedly “high.”
Representatives for Pate, Klein, Netflix and Stokes did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
