Savannah Guthrie and her siblings, Annie and Camron, are pleading for the safe return of their mother, Nancy, who mysteriously disappeared.
“Take her home,” the reporter captioned an Instagram video he shared on Wednesday night.
“We want to thank everyone who has prayed for our beloved mother Nancy. We feel those prayers and continue to believe she is praying for us as well,” an emotional Savannah said in the video as she read a prepared statement.
“Our mom is a kind, sincere, sincere woman with a fierce love of goodness and light. Funny, energetic, smart. She has grandchildren who adore her, crowd around her and hug her with kisses,” the brothers’ message continued.
“She loves fun and adventure. She is a devoted friend. She is full of kindness and knowledge. Talk to her and you will understand.”
Annie echoed her sister’s sentiments, adding that there was a “lack of light” in the lives of families without their mothers.
“Nancy is our mother. We are her children and she is our lighthouse. She holds fast to joy in every situation in life. She chooses joy every day, even though she has already gone through great trials of pain and sorrow,” said Savannah, tearfully holding her head.
“We’ll always be just people. We’re just normal people who need our moms. Mom, mom, if you’re listening, we want you to come home. We miss you.”
Savannah continued reading the note, pleading with her mother’s alleged captors for proof that she was alive.
“Our mother is our heart and home. She is 84 years old. Her health is fragile. Her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is not on medication. She needs it to survive and not to suffer. We too have heard reports in the media about the ransom letter. We are doing everything we can as a family. We are ready to speak,” Savannah said.
“But we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated. We definitely need to know that she’s alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we’re ready to hear from you,” she added.
The former Today show host then sent a direct message to Nancy, asking her to “please contact” her family.
“Mom, if you are listening to this, you are a strong woman. You are God’s precious daughter, Nancy. We believe and know that He is with you in this valley,” she said.
“Everyone is looking for you, Mom, wherever you are. We will not rest. Your children will not rest until we are together again. We will always speak to you and pray without ceasing. And we will rejoice in advance of the day when we can hold you in our arms again. We love you, Mom,” Savannah concluded before her siblings repeated her last words.
Nancy was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, when she was reportedly dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills after having dinner with her family.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that Nancy’s home is being treated as a crime scene.
Authorities initially thought Annie was the last person to see the matriarch before she went missing. FBI agents then visited Annie’s home in Arizona on Tuesday as the investigation continued.
However, authorities told the Post that Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni, was the last person to see Nancy alive at around 9:45 p.m. after having dinner with Annie and her husband.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed in a statement Wednesday that it has not yet identified a suspect or person of interest.
