Netflix India has announced an extensive 2026 programming slate, headlined by Sunny Deol, Madhuri Dixit and Saif Ali Khan, to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the region.

The announcement, made by Monika Shergill, vice president of content at Netflix India, highlights that the show will span military dramas, family comedies, reality shows and psychological thrillers, with what the executive said will serve “many Indians” rather than a single audience.

“Netflix’s 10 years in India is not a milestone we achieved alone. It is a story we wrote together with the creators who took bold risks, the actors and technicians who brought their vision to life, the partners who built with passion, the teams who continued to raise the bar, and most of all, the audiences who welcomed these stories with curiosity and openness,” Shergill said in a statement.

The tablet contains the military drama ‘Operation Safed Sagar’, which chronicles the role of the Indian Air Force in the 1999 Kargil War. The series stars Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja, Taruk Raina, Arnab Bhasin and Amrita Bagki, along with creators Abhijeet Singh Parmal and Kushal Srivastava and director Oni Sen. The project is produced by Matchbox Shot and Feel Good Films.

Hansal Mehta returns to the streamer with “Family Business,” starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma in what Netflix describes as a high-stakes succession battle within India’s corporate elite. Produced by Abundantia Entertainment and True Story Films, the series features an ensemble cast including Akash Khurana, Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, Ananth Nag, Kanwaljit Singh, Dhruv Sehgal, Nandish Sandhu, Tina Desai, Rohan Mehra, Kamal Sadhana, Raima Sen, Inayat Sood and Madhu Shah. Mehta co-created the series with Niren Bhatt and also wrote the adapted story, screenplay and dialogues along with Ankur Pathak and Nikhil Naar.

Khan has appeared in two major projects. One is Hum Hindustani, a period drama about India’s first democratic elections, directed by Rahul Dholakia and co-starring Pratik Gandhi, Deepak Dobriyal, Mimi Chakraborty, Sarika and Shraddha Dhangar. Red Chillies Entertainment’s ‘Kartavya’ is a crime drama directed by Pulkit and also stars Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Dwivedi, Zakir Hussain and Manish Chaudhary.

Dixit headlined the dark comedy ‘Maa Behen’ directed by Suresh Triveni and co-starring Tripti Dimri, Ravi Kishan and Dharna Durga. The film, produced by Abundantia Entertainment in association with Opening Image Films, follows three women as they deal with unexpected situations involving dead bodies.

Deol will be returning to Netflix after ‘Maharaj’ in the legal thriller ‘Ikka’ opposite Akshaye Khanna. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the Alchemy Films production also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shishir Sharma and Akanksha Ranjan.

The streamer has significantly expanded its South Indian offerings. Starring R. Madhavan, Abhishek Banerjee, Nimisha Sajayan, Gowtham Karthik and Gulshan Devaiya, the Tamil series ‘Legacy’ is about a criminal patriarch defending an empire. Director Charukesh Sekhar is heading the production for Stone Bench Studios.

Netflix will launch its first series in the language ‘Super Subu’ in Telugu starring Sandeep Kishan, Mithila Palkar, Murali Sharma, Maanatha Chaudhary and Getup Srinu. Directed by Malik Ram and produced by Chilaka Productions, this comedy-drama is about a down-on-his-luck teacher who is assigned to teach sex education despite being a virgin. Anand Deverakonda will be making his Netflix debut with Sitara Entertainment’s Telugu ethnic thriller Takshakudu, directed by Vinod Ananthju and co-starring Nitanshi Goel.

Other Tamil projects include the romantic comedy series “#Love” starring Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi, and the youth drama “Made in Korea” starring Priyanka Mohan and Park Hae Jin, which explores the cultural ties between India and Korea.

The drama frame unfolds in the series Hello Vashion, which is based on the true story of a physics wallah and explores how the unassuming physics teacher influenced millions of students. Directed by Pratyesh Mehta and produced by Abhishek Yadav, the series also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Vikram Kochar and Girija Och Godbole.

‘Musafir Cafe’ is a romance series starring Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, Mahima Makwana, Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatepuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui, which depicts an unfinished love story. Directed by Ruchill Arun and created by Sharanya Rajgopal, the series is produced by TTT and is based on the book ‘Musafir Cafe’ by Divya Prakash Dubey.

The unscripted slate further expands with Desi Bling, a reality series that follows Dubai’s Indian elite, featuring Karan Kundra, Tejaswi Prakash, Satish Sampal, Tabinda Sampal, Rizwan Sajjan, Adel Sajjan, Sana Sajjan, Pamala Selena, Dutee Palak, Irina Kinav, Alizey Mirza, Laili Mirza and Janhvi Gaur. Shergill pointed out that Indian content will consistently feature in Netflix’s global top 10 every week from 2024 to 2025.

“The decade of streaming has highlighted a simple truth: There is no single way to tell India’s story and no single audience can be served. India is one nation made up of many Indians. Our work begins and continues with inclusion of all Indians,” Shergill said.
