“The Kelly Clarkson Show” is coming to an end after its currently airing seventh season.

The show’s conclusion was Clarkson’s decision. In a statement thanking her staff and fans, she said, “Taking a break from our daily schedules will allow us to prioritize our children. This feels necessary and right for the next chapter of our lives.”

The news comes after her ex-husband, former manager, and father of her two children, Brandon Blackstock, passed away in 2025. Blackstock, who had battled cancer for three years, was 48 years old.

Production on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Season 7 will continue as previously planned, with the series airing its final episode this fall. This season will also feature special guest hosts to be announced at a later date.

Clarkson’s full statement reads: “I was so fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people on The Kelly Clarkson Show in Los Angeles and New York. There were so many great moments and shows throughout these seven seasons. The best band you could hope for. We will be forever grateful and honored to have worked with our fans and crew, all the talented and inspirational people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and NBC, who have always been amazing to us.” A great and supportive partner. So this was not an easy decision to make, but this season will be my last as host of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from our daily schedules allows us to prioritize our children, which feels necessary and right for the next chapter of our lives. This is not a farewell. I’ll continue to make music, play shows here and there, and you might see me on “The Voice” every once in a while…you never know where I’ll show up next. But for now, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone for making our show a part of your lives, for believing in us and for being with us for seven incredible years. ”

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” first aired in 2019. In this series, Clarkson interviews celebrities as well as ordinary people and shares their inspiring stories. Each episode begins with a “Kellyoke” segment, in which Clarkson and her band perform covers of other artists’ songs. The show’s occasional “Songs & Stories” episodes feature Clarkson delving into the work of artists such as Alanis Morissette, Babyface, Miranda Lambert and Pink, before NBC aired a primetime spinoff interviewing the Jonas Brothers, Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims and Lizzo.

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” has won 24 Daytime Emmy Awards over its run, including four consecutive wins for both Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and Outstanding Talk Show Host.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is produced by Universal Television and distributed by NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, and airs in more than 200 markets across the United States. Alex Duda will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

“‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ was an extraordinary collaboration,” said Tracy Wilson, executive vice president, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios. “We’re grateful to Kelly for bringing her talent and energy here. Her warmth, quick sense of humor, and connection to people have created a show that fans want to see, hear, and make their day just a little bit better.” The success of the show would not have been possible without him. His vision, leadership and unwavering commitment throughout all seven seasons guided us through unprecedented times and cross-country moves. Together with our producers, staff and crew, they have created a legacy we are proud of.” ”

“‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ has been a valued part of the NBC-owned station’s lineup for seven seasons, consistently providing daytime viewers with entertaining and engaging programming,” said Valari Staab, chairman of NBCUniversal Local. “We would like to thank Kelly and the production team for the excellent quality programming they have consistently produced since 2019 and look forward to a successful remaining season.”
