Fox has given a direct series order to the drama “The Interrogator,” starring Stephen Fry.
The show’s logline reads, “The show centers on former MI6 agent Conrad Henry (Fry) and his elite team. When conventional methods fail, Henry’s eccentric charm, superior intellect, and mind-blowing behavioral machinations make him the only man capable of lockpicking the hearts of the world’s most dangerous criminals.”
Fox has ordered 12 episodes of the show. Frye wrote the pilot, with revisions by Bill Harper and Matt Piken. The trio will serve as executive producers alongside Anonymous Content, Neil Berger and Paul McGuigan. McGuigan will also direct. Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman and Miriam Mintz will also serve as executive producers. Produced by Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment Studios.
Frye previously appeared in the Fox hit “Bones” as Dr. Gordon Wyatt. An acclaimed actor and comedian, Fry is known for his roles in shows such as Blackadder and The Fry and Laurie Bits, and films such as Wild, Gosford Park, V for Vendetta and Love and Friendship.
He is repped by CAA and Hamilton Hodel.
This is FOX’s latest series pickup for the 2026-2027 broadcast season. The agency also gave the green light to a reboot of “Baywatch,” which was officially ordered in September, although it took a long time to be made into a movie.
Fox currently has few scripted dramas scheduled. The network’s current drama lineup consists of only the medical drama “Doc,” the acclaimed “Dr. Martin” adaptation “Best Medicine,” starring Josh Charles, and the recently launched “A Murderer” starring Patrick Dempsey.
