Ray J is fighting for his life by taking eight different medications.
The singer told TMZ on Thursday that he takes medications such as Jardiance and Entresto, drugs for people at high risk for heart failure, as well as cholesterol medication Lipitor, and that doctors have advised him to continue resting.
The “One Wish” singer, who revealed on Tuesday that he was given only a few months to live, will also refrain from drinking and smoking.
The 45-year-old said he may be given a pacemaker or defibrillator, but he won’t know until his follow-up visit in two weeks.
He is also considering traveling to Haiti for treatment.
Ray J told his Instagram followers earlier this week that amid his health crisis, “2027 is definitely over.”
“This is pitch black,” he said, referring to his heart, which was only beating at 60 percent. “Now you’re done.”
“I shouldn’t have tried so hard, brother,” he added, clarifying, “I could handle all the alcohol, all the Adderall, and all the drugs.”
Noting that he used to drink “four or five bottles a day” and take “10 Addies” as if he were “immortal,” Ray J said, “I couldn’t[deal with it]. My time here was cut short.”
He continued, “My baby mama (Princess Love) is going to be straight, and my kids are going to be straight. If you want to spend money, you can spend it. I’ve done my part here. And damn it, when it’s all over, stop burning me and burying me.”
Ray J claimed in another video over the weekend that he was in the hospital and “almost died,” an apparent reference to TMZ’s Jan. 7 report that he was suffering from severe pneumonia and “heart pain.”
He had been seriously ill with pneumonia in 2021.
On Sunday, he said: “As long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be fine. So I appreciate everyone’s prayers.”
The actor is currently unable to see his children due to a criminal protection order, and told the outlet on Thursday that this “made[him]depressed” and “made[him]realize” that he needed to change his lifestyle.
He was arrested in November 2025 for allegedly pointing a gun at Princess Love, 41, during a harrowing livestream, but was released the same day after posting $50,000 bail.
The On Again, Off Again couple share daughter Melody, 7, and son Epic, 5.
