Sony Pictures Television has signed an option agreement with Thailand’s TV Thunder and Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse to develop SPT’s unscripted entertainment format “100 Choices,” which will be produced at Columbia Pictures’ themed water park in Thailand.
In the comedy family format, contestants win big prizes by answering one question with 100 possible answers. Given the near-impossible nature of the questions, participants can compete in five physical challenges and eliminate potential answers based on their performance in each round. In this game show, contestants combine strategy, physical skill, and teamwork to narrow down their choices.
TV Thunder adapts and produces local versions, customizing the format for large-scale waterpark environments. Production will be based at Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse in the seaside town of Bang Saray, near Pattaya. The deal is aimed at attracting family audiences while increasing awareness of the theme park, which features rides and attractions based on Hollywood movie franchises such as “Ghostbusters,” “Jumanji,” “Bad Boys” and “Hotel Transylvania.”
SPT acquired global distribution rights to “100 Choices” after the format, created by Tokyo-based FANY Studio, was unveiled at the Asian TV Forum & Market in Singapore in 2023. The studio opened the format to the international market at a London screening in February 2025.
The deal in Thailand follows the recent announcement that B17 Entertainment, part of SPT, is developing GSN’s format in the US, underscoring the studio’s strategy to expand its global unscripted portfolio by combining local production expertise with unique venue settings.
