Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are able to do just that thanks to their own private bathrooms.
The 48-year-old actress on Tuesday doubled down on her claim that “separate bathrooms” were the secret to their successful 23-year marriage.
She said the same thing during an appearance on the “Today” show in June 2025, insisting, “It’s very simple.”
On Tuesday, her fellow “Star Search” judge Chrissy Teigen agreed to this relationship rule in a conversation with E! News at the premiere of the competition show.
“It’s a small thing,” the model explained. “You have to stay sexy and stay sexy in little ways.”
Teigen joked that her husband, John Legend, isn’t “always” in control of the situation.
However, she admitted, “As far as he knows, I’ve never farted or pooped.”
Teigen and Legend, 47, married in September 2013 and have four children together: Luna (9), Miles (7), Estee (3), and Len (2).
Geller and Prinze Jr. married in September 2002 and have since welcomed daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13.
The pair met in 1997 while co-starring in I Know What You Did Last Summer, but didn’t start dating until three years later.
Last year, when Geller first gushed about her separate bathroom, Tiffany Haddish suggested doing the same for her bedroom.
The 46-year-old comedian suggested that “[Lucy and Ricky]have twin beds and when they want to get together they push the beds together and when they want to get apart they push them apart (from ‘I Love Lucy’).”
Geller replied, “I never thought of that. That’s a really good idea.”
In 2024, the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum spoke to Fox News Digital about how people “have to work” to make their marriages work.
“We live in a very disposable society right now,” she said at the time. “If your phone breaks, you don’t fix it, you get a new one. And I think that’s a big part of the attitude towards relationships.”
