Lizzo showed off her new hair makeover on Friday, revealing that she cut her shoulder-length black hair and dyed her short curls brown.
“2026 is the year we cut off women,” the 37-year-old hitmaker captioned the TikTok post.
In the video, set to the song “Lady Lady” by up-and-coming artist Olivia Deen, the “Truth Hurts” songstress jumps on the running trend and shows off her new hairstyle to the lyrics, “Oh my god, I used to love this hair. There’s something in the air right now.”
She opened the video, showing off her curly hair and shaking her head as she began her transformation. She finished with a quick reel of herself sporting a look with short, brown curly hair.
She also had her dog in her arms, whose fur looked strikingly similar to its new color.
The four-time Grammy Award winner is known for trying out some daring hairstyles in the past.
A blonde and pink mullet debuted in August 2023. The front of her bob was cut at chin length, with pink ends, and the hair at the back was long enough to graze her collarbone.
In 2020, she shocked her fans by debuting her green hairstyle while posing nude in a photoshoot she shared on Instagram.
Her body was adorned with sparkling gold stars by “skin jewelry” artist J. Masklay. She stuck with the green theme with starry lime nail polish, emerald eye makeup, and gold Rory Rockmore earrings ($220).
For one of her more demure hairstyles, she went platinum blonde for the 2025 Met Gala, which had the theme “Super Fine: Tailored Black Style.”
She styled her shoulder-length blonde wig in loose waves and paired it with a smokey eye and dark lipstick.
