Ashley Tisdale’s husband, Christopher French, shared a cryptic post after she stirred up drama by slamming “toxic” mom groups.
On Tuesday, the 44-year-old composer reshared a November 2025 post by graphic designer Tyler Spangler on his Instagram Story.
“It’s your choice whether or not to participate,” the message read in colorful letters.
French’s post came a day after Tisdale shot down a group of former “toxic” moms that included Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore.
In a poignant essay for The Cut, the “High School Musical” star, 40, reflected on feeling “not cool enough” after being excluded from moms’ hangouts.
“There were group text chains that didn’t include everyone, which led to the formation of cliques within the larger group,” she writes.
“And after seeing pictures on social media three or four times of everyone else participating in hangouts they weren’t invited to, I felt like I wasn’t really part of the group after all,” Tisdale added.
“At that point, I had to ask myself: Why am I still participating in this event?”
Ms Tisdale, who has daughters Jupiter, 4, and Emerson, 1, with French, said she was “trying not to take things personally” at first.
“People are not allowed to gather without me, and there was probably a good reason why I wasn’t invited,” she wrote.
“We were all busy, life was hectic, and I told myself it was all in my head and no big deal,” the actress added.
“Nonetheless, I felt the distance between me and the rest of the group growing. They didn’t even seem to care that I wasn’t nearby.”
Sammy Ryan, a clothing designer who is part of the mom group, appeared to respond to Tisdale’s questionable essay on Instagram on Monday.
Ryan reposted a video of a man opening his front door and mouthing the lyrics to Megan Thee Stallion’s 2022 hit “Her.”
“I don’t care if these girls don’t like me ’cause I’m pretty as fuck,” Megan raps in the song. “I just heard a hoe say this the other day. Actually, what can a hoe say? I got paid for this with a face like this and a bitch, so what can a hoe say?”
“Feeling like 2026,” Ryan wrote above the clip.
Duff’s husband Matthew Koma also inserted himself into his wife’s mother’s drama by putting his own fake cover on Tisdale on The Cut.
The 38-year-old singer posed for a fake cover with the headline, “Mom Group Tells Everything Through Dad’s Eyes: When You’re the Most Self-centered Tone-Deaf on the Planet, Other Moms Tend to Shift Their Focus to Their Actual Toddlers.”
Koma added a sarcastic caption: “Read our new interview with @thecut.”
