As the new year approaches, Prince William and Duchess Kate have shared their favorite never-before-seen photos of 2025.
In 12 snaps posted to Instagram on Tuesday, the couple shared one photo each month as a memento of their digital walkdown.
They opened a merry-go-round with photos of the 43-year-old prince and the Princess of Wales, also 43, to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day in January. Although not pictured, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other prominent Jews also attended the annual commemoration ceremony at London’s Guildhall.
This shot was followed by a photo of Middleton visiting the Mother and Child Action Unit at HM Prison Styal.
The collection also included a photo of 12-year-old Prince George speaking with his father to veterans at the 80th anniversary of VE Day in March.
“This was the first sign that George was going to take on a future role,” the Mirror’s Russell Myers previously told People about the August event.
A palace insider added: “It’s quite a responsibility to sit down and talk to veterans like this. It was incredible.”
Prince William posed for the following photo with his father, King Charles III, and aunt, Princess Anne, at the annual Trooping the Color parade in June.
Sources previously told the Post that this year’s parade was supposed to be quite special as King Charles continues to undergo treatment following a cancer diagnosis.
“This is a show of strength,” a palace source told the Post. “The King is serving his country and he is not going to let his diagnosis get in the way of that.”
Sources shared that Prince Charles insisted on playing a practical role in planning this year’s celebrations, with Prince William’s cooperation.
“For the King, military activities were always important,” said Grant Harold, the King’s former personal butler. “It’s a time for the entire royal family to come together and present a united front.”
It’s also worth noting that this year’s Trooping the Color parade marked Middleton’s first appearance since announcing that she was in remission from cancer.
The following month, she resumed regular participation in the Wimbledon tournament, presenting the men’s singles trophy to Jannik Sinner. This was another highlight of the year that she and William shared in a post on Tuesday.
Other moments featured on the merry-go-round included the couple’s first approach to Marine One when President Donald Trump arrived in Windsor for a US state visit in September, and Prince William showing off his volleyball skills in Rio de Janeiro in November.
