In episode 4 of Swift’s new documentary series, The End of an Era, on Disney+, Swift talks about the difficulty of maintaining relationships while on tour and how that changed with Travis.
“Relationships on tour is something I’ve always really struggled with because I always felt like touring was taking away relationships,” she said. “For some reason, no matter how much I tried, I just couldn’t do both at the same time and felt like I was growing both at the same time.”

“We both have jobs where we go out to NFL stadiums and entertain people for three and a half hours,” she said. “He’s a lot more violent than I am. But he doesn’t wear heels. But it’s our passion. We’ve been chasing this since we were little.”
She continued, “I don’t think I ever expected to meet a man who was on a similar path. And with this person in my life, I realized that this person is the perfect fit for me. We can have two passions coexist and they actually inspire each other.”
“At the end of the day, we love to support each other. It’s great,” Swift added.
