YouTuber Adam the Woo has passed away at the age of 51.
Adam the Woo (real name David Adam Williams) was found dead in his home in Celebration, Florida, on Monday, December 22nd, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to officials.
TMZ was first to report the news.
“The residence was secured and there was no contact with the adult male resident,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson told PEOPLE in a statement. “Police then returned to the scene of the unattended death at 2:53 p.m. A friend borrowed a ladder and looked into a third-floor window and saw the man motionless in bed. Firefighters entered the residence and the man was reported dead.”
OCSO confirmed that it notified Williams’ father of the death.
The coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, but the cause of death is still under investigation, OCSO said.

“This breaks my heart and I don’t want to say anything right now,” Williams’ friend and fellow YouTube vlogger Justin Scarred wrote in a Facebook post. “I don’t have the right picture, I don’t have the right words. But with all these rumors, I feel I have to say what I can. The world has lost a giant and I have lost a friend closer than blood.”
Scarred went on to ask people to “please pray for my parents, Jim and June, and my sister, Faith.”
PEOPLE has reached out to Scarred for comment.
“I can’t believe I’m typing this…I’m devastated to hear of the sudden passing of my dear friend Adam the Woo,” Williams’ friend Chris Yong wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of him visiting a friend.
Yung’s caption read, “Just visited him at Celebration in Florida 4 days ago. We rode around town in his golf cart, checked out his decorations, talked about his recent overseas trip, our excitement about his upcoming plans on his YouTube channel, and even talked about the Rays game that Adam and I are talking about going to next year. I really don’t know what to say. I’m in complete shock. Rest in peace David Adam Williams 💔.”

According to Fox 4, Williams started his YouTube channel in 2009 and launched his most notable channel, The Daily Woo, in 2012. At The Daily Woo, I vlogged every day for five years, then in all 50 states. According to the outlet, he also shared videos of him visiting theme parks, haunted houses, small towns and other events.
A Disney expert, Williams was a regular visitor to Disneyland and Disney World. He also shot videos of historic sites in Kansas City, Missouri associated with Walt Disney, including Laugh-O-Glam Studios and the Union Station grounds.
Williams’ final episode on The Daily Woo ran on Saturday, December 21st, and featured Celebration’s Christmas decoration tour.
