TikTok chef Tineke “Tini” Younger announced on Wednesday, November 26th that she had lost one of her baby twins.
“This is not the post I planned to share once my twins were born. Unfortunately, we lost our sweet baby girl Aria (Baby A) earlier this week,” Younger, 24, began in a Facebook post.
“We were almost 36 weeks, labor was over, and the girls were about to be delivered. But I had placental abruption and lost my sweet baby girl. Her twin sister is doing great and breathing on her own,” her post continued.
“They are both so beautiful and Alia will always be blessed and her sister will know that she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister. I will be taking some time off, but I don’t know how long, but I promise I will be back. Love you all,” the post concluded.
In the black-and-white photo, Younger and her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., are seen holding baby Aria next to a doctor at the hospital.
Placental abruption “occurs when the placenta partially or completely detaches from the lining of the uterus before delivery. This reduces or cuts off the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the baby and can cause excessive bleeding for the mother,” the Mayo Clinic says.
Premature abruption of the placenta can lead to growth restriction due to insufficient nutritional intake, insufficient oxygen intake, premature birth, or stillbirth.
Younger announced her pregnancy in July.
Younger’s due date was right before Thanksgiving, a big day for internet chefs. Younger exclusively told PEOPLE in October that the twins are “perfect” and she has plans to make sure they have a great time over the long weekend.

“I’m just going to bring a chair,” the influencer said of adjusting her Thanksgiving preparations while pregnant. “I already have a little kitchen stool, but[Thanksgiving]is something I look forward to. Especially during the holidays for content, everyone comes to my page for recipes. I’m going to push through. Just sit on the stool, because that’s what I’m all about.”
