50 Cent’s much talked about Netflix documentary series about Sean “Diddy” Combs has been officially titled “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” and will premiere on December 2nd.

“You can’t keep hurting people and nothing will happen,” Mark Curry can be heard saying in a short teaser for the series. “It’s only a matter of time.” 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) and Mr. Combs have been rivals for years, with Mr. Jackson mocking Mr. Combs on social media throughout his criminal trial, during which Mr. Combs was found guilty of transportation for the purpose of prostitution and acquitted of more serious charges of sex trafficking and extortion. In October, Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison and is scheduled to be released in May 2028.

According to the official synopsis, the series is a “surprising investigation into media moguls, music legends, and convicted criminals. Born with an insatiable drive for stardom and a talent for spotting talent, Combs began his musical career at Bad Boy Entertainment. He rose through the ranks of the industry, bringing hip-hop to the pop masses and playing a key role in launching the careers of dozens of generation-defining artists, including The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Mary J. Blige. But along the way, the documentary begins to color his ambitions through explosive never-before-seen material, including exclusive interviews with those who were once in his orbit, as detailed by his former colleagues, childhood friends, artists, and employees. The documentary tells the story of a powerful and enterprising man, the gilded empire he built, and the underworld just beneath the surface.

“Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” a four-hour episode, was directed by Alexandria Stapleton. Executive producers include Jackson, Stapleton, Stacey Scripter, David Karabinas, Ariel Brozel and Brad Bernstein. The series is produced by Stapleton’s House of Nonfiction, Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television, and Texas Crew Productions.
