Sister Wives star Leon Brown is denying his father Kody’s recent claims that he has tried to contact his estranged children.
On the latest episode of the TLC show, the 56-year-old reality TV star and father of 18 discussed with his wife Robyn the possibility of hiring a therapist to help bridge the gap in his relationship with his older children.
“I needed to work on myself because I’m angry about what I believe a lot of kids have done,” he said in a confessional. “But you also have to have the tools to build a relationship that allows you to put your own emotions aside and invite the other person into a space where you can communicate safely and lovingly.”

After Robin told Kody it was a good idea, Kody returned to the confessional and added that he had “tried to contact” all of his children so far.
“I reached out to all my kids multiple times,” he said. “And if they don’t have anything to do with me, it’s because they haven’t received their reward.”
The footage is currently circulating on social media, and one of Kody’s children, Leon, with his first wife Meri, broke his social media hiatus to address the allegations.
“I’m taking a break from social media because I have something to say,” Leon wrote in a post on Instagram Stories. “There’s a ridiculous video going around of my dad talking about reaching out to his kids. Just to be clear, I haven’t heard from that guy since my brother committed suicide. Kody blatantly beat me up at the Garrison funeral. He’s a liar. It’s a dad joke. That’s it.”
Kody and Janelle Brown’s son Garrison Brown died by suicide in March 2024.

Christine Brown spoke with PEOPLE ahead of the release of her book, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom, and spoke candidly about her hopes for the future of her relationship with her children’s father. Christine, a mother of six, says she thinks “things will get better” between her children and Kodi.
“It’s still an ongoing story, but I believe Kody is a good person and I think things will get better,” she said. “I hope things get better.”
“Things take time,” she added. “There’s a lot of things we’re saying and hearing about each other, and that’s natural. So I think there are some things that need to be worked out.”

Kody is enjoying life apart from his ex-wives Janelle, Meri and Christine, but previously said on an episode of Sister Wives that he was open to reconciling with his estranged children.
“But my children will always be my children, and my door will always be open to them,” he said at the time. “They have to go through that door. I’m going to hold out my hand for that, but I’m also going to hold on to this hand that’s next to me, and I’m not going to let go of that hand.”
“I’m not going to cut ties with Robyn in order to have a relationship with my kids,” Kody added.
