Tara Reid filed a police report over the weekend, claiming she was drugged at a Chicago hotel bar.
In a police report filed with the Rosemont Department of Public Safety and obtained by Page Six, Reed said he was staying at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois for a celebrity autograph session and that “there were a number of YouTubers in the lobby.”
“Everything was suspicious, but she had no idea what was going on,” she said in her report.
She ordered a glass of white wine and was approached by a man who claimed to be a successful influencer. After she went outside to smoke with him, she says she saw a napkin over her drink, and the last thing she remembers was the couple sitting next to her.
“The next thing I remember, more than eight hours later, I woke up in the hospital with no idea where I was or what had happened,” she says. “My mind went completely blank and I couldn’t remember anything.”
The “American Pie” actress, 50, said an agent picked her up from the hospital after she was told she was free to leave. She said she had been trying to file a police report since the incident, but didn’t know what to do from Los Angeles.
“The next day, the guy I was smoking with emailed me a video and I thought he was trying to blackmail me by telling me to stop the video from being released. He also told me that he had called security and that he had made sure I had only had one drink,” she said.
“I’m going to press charges,” she says.
Lt. Joseph Balogh of the Rosemont Department of Public Safety told Page Six they responded to an EMS-related incident at 12:39 a.m. Sunday.
“Trained patrol officers assisted Rosemont paramedics and responded to sick calls and provided patient care,” Balogh said. “The patient was transported to a local hospital, but no additional reports were generated that day.”
Balogh said he spoke with Reed on Tuesday and an online report was filed and received by the Rosemont Detective Division at 4:26 p.m. He said he was in contact with the hotel to collect video surveillance and was “committed to thoroughly investigating this incident.”
A representative for Reid previously told Page Six: “Tara Reid filed a police report following an incident in which she believed her drink had been tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation.”
“Tara is recovering and requests privacy during this traumatic time,” the rep continued. “She also urges everyone to be careful, watch what they drink and never leave their eyes unattended because this can happen to anyone.”
Reed said in an interview with TMZ that doctors did not perform a blood alcohol test at the hospital.
“They just said you were drugged. That’s what they said. ‘You were drugged last night at the bar,'” she told the outlet.
She also said she did not know what drug she was allegedly given because she “didn’t ask” even though she “was tested to see what it was.”
“Everything was a blur. Like, everything was a blur. … I can’t even explain it because I don’t even know what happened,” Reed added.
