Tara Reid has revealed “horrifying” details surrounding an alleged drug raid at a Chicago hotel bar over the weekend.
“It’s really scary. It’s not just for girls, it’s for guys, it’s for everyone. You have to be really careful with alcohol,” she warned in an interview with TMZ on Monday.
“It knocked me unconscious for eight hours.”
The “American Pie” actress, 50, was then taken from the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago O’Hare Airport Rosemont to a local hospital, where she claimed she “awoke eight hours later.”
Reed also told the outlet that doctors did not perform a blood alcohol test, adding: “They just said you were drugged. That’s what they said. ‘You were drugged last night at a bar.'”
She also said she did not know what drug she was allegedly given because she “didn’t ask” even though she “was tested to see what it was.”
“Everything was a blur. Like, everything was a blur. … I can’t even explain it because I don’t even know what happened,” Reed added.
She also reiterated that she had no idea what the doctors “did” at the hospital because “[she]was unconscious.”
In fact, she elaborated that she thought “[she]was in Mexico” because the “Mexican” woman sitting next to her at the hospital “didn’t speak English.”
“I was so confused about what was going on,” she went on to say, revealing that her agent picked her up and took her to an autograph session.
“We did it, left, and went back to the house. It was just a big blur,” the “Sharknado” actress added. “The whole thing was really scary. I was really happy to be in a public place…and there was a security guard there to help me.”
She theorized that she could have been “raped” if she had been in a “non-public place,” adding: “So there’s a lot of things that could have gone really, really, really wrong.”
Mr Reid then issued a stern warning to men and women.
“Everyone needs to be really careful about being careful with their drinks, because I don’t know what it was, but whatever it was, it knocked me out right away,” she said.
Page Six reached out to a representative for the “National Lampoon” star for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Lt. Joseph Balogh of the Rosemont Department of Public Safety told Page Six that no police report had been filed as of this article, despite what Reed’s representatives said.
However, he acknowledged that his department received an EMS call requesting an ambulance and “the patient was transported.” “There was no other mention of drugs or suspicious activity in the report,” he said.
Balogh said his department is not currently investigating Reed’s claims. However, it will do so if a proper report is filed and “the victim comes forward.”
“We’re waiting for it,” he told us.
Page Six also reached out to Doubletree for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
On Monday, a video was released showing Reed incoherently being helped by hotel staff before being taken to a local hospital.
After the incident, the actress claimed that her drink was spiked after she went outside to smoke a cigarette.
