Kate Beckinsale shared a shocking story about her daughter’s boyfriend on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Monday night.
The actress claimed that Lily Mohseen’s partner, whose name she did not reveal, recently laid two eggs.
The outlandish anecdote surfaced as Beckinsale, 52, spoke to Jimmy Kimmel about the “terrifying” few years she lost her parents and how her boyfriend, who produced “two eggs a week,” was the only “single silver lining.”
When Kimmel, 58, asked if this was a “British thing” she didn’t know, Beckinsale clarified that she was from New Jersey.
As the host continued to ask clarifying questions, the “Wildcat” star admitted that she initially had doubts about the storyline, thinking it was “a little dramatized” or a way to “get attention.”
“I thought, ‘Okay, you’re trying to take the focus off the cancer.’ But there was the shell and the yolk,” she claimed. “It came out of his mouth, or years later, the way it comes out of a chicken. … After he went to the bathroom, he was very surprised to find that it was laying eggs.”
Kimmel asked, stunned, “Wasn’t that one of his testicles?”
Ms Beckinsale went on to say that her daughter’s boyfriend “cracked it up to see what was inside” and found “a yolk that looked like some sort of hard-boiled yolk that had cooked inside him.”
The “Underworld” star added that she believes the wild story served as a “distraction” during her personal struggles, because both of them seemed “really scared” when it happened.
She even showed the photo to Kimmel, but ignored letting the audience see it because the image was “a little disgusting” and “pretty medical.”
Kimmel’s jaw dropped and he was momentarily speechless before calling the mystery man the Easter Bunny.
Ms. Beckinsale concluded the bizarre conversation by stating that her daughter’s boyfriend had gone to the doctor about the eggs, but many believed that “it was some kind of complicated masturbation thing, but it wasn’t.”
Kimmel had hoped the interview would either shed light on “why she’s laying eggs” or spark interest in a reality show.
Social media users expressed confusion in the comments, with some believing Beckinsale had “made a bet with someone to talk this crap.”
