The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 49, hosted Amazon Live on Monday, Nov. 24, and shared insight into her recent breakup with Tucker, 52. Burruss exclusively shared the news of their breakup with PEOPLE on Friday, Nov. 21.
Burruss confirmed on Amazon Live that she officially filed on Friday, saying it’s been a “pretty crazy time” since then. According to a video recording shared with X, she also answered a fan’s question about how she was feeling, saying candidly, “I’ll be very honest. I’m up and down.”
“Obviously, going through a divorce is never easy,” she continued. “There are cool moments and sad moments,” she added.
Burruss, who left RHOA last year after 14 seasons, said she previously couldn’t keep her private moments from public view. “In real life and everyday life, I don’t really like to share moments like that with the world. But today I’m sharing it with my Amazon family. I’m up and down.”

“Just to be clear, I applied on Friday and this has been in the works for a while,” she continued.
“The number of times you’ve seen me online (big smile) doesn’t mean anything,” the Grammy-winning songwriter said. “I’ve been through it. I’ve been through it. Life has kept me alive.”
She also addressed the online reaction to the breakup, saying it was “difficult” and “everyone is creating their own story about what’s going on.”
Burruss said she sometimes wants to respond to online comments. “I’m all over the place,” she said, then added, “Sometimes things don’t work out. That’s the way it is.”

She also wanted to celebrate the couple’s “two wonderful, beautiful children” son Ace, 9, and daughter Blaise, 6, and said she had “no regrets.”
Despite their breakup, Burruss said she plans to spend Thanksgiving with Tucker, just days after celebrating Blaise’s sixth birthday together on Saturday, Nov. 22.
“We’re parents together. We’re parenting together,” Burruss said during Amazon Live. “We have beautiful children, so we are trying to make this transition as smooth as possible for them. That is our main concern. We remain on very amicable terms.”
“These are difficult and emotional times, but I remain focused on maintaining my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” Burruss said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
“I’m stepping into a new chapter dedicated to work, family, and personal growth,” Burruss continued. “We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. We ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we go through this period of transition with our family.”
The former couple met while filming Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2011 and announced their engagement in January 2013. They got married in April of the following year.
