Miley Cyrus quietly celebrated her 33rd birthday with a small dinner. She shared two photos from the night, along with a thoughtful caption about the year ahead. Friends and family members also posted their own condolences, including Katie Coyne, Brandi Cyrus, and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus celebrated her 33rd birthday over the weekend, and she shared a note about celebrating and looking forward to the year ahead. On Sunday, the singer posted two black-and-white photos from the dinner party, one of which showed her blowing out the candles on a berry-topped cake.
In her caption, Cyrus continued to focus on her gratitude for the people in her life and the joy she is finding as she grows older. “33 years old is already shining brightly thanks to everyone’s warm birthday wishes,” she wrote. “All I want this year is to laugh more with the people who give me the smile lines that are slowly starting to appear. 🤍I love you all.”
Some of the singer’s friends also recorded the celebration. Katie Coyne, who is married to musician Wayne Coyne, one of Cyrus’ longtime friends, posted a photo on her Instagram Story of the two arriving wearing nearly identical black dresses. She wrote, “Showed up in the same outfit. 👯♀️Happy birthday my girl 💝 @mileycyrus.”
Family mourning continued. Brandi Cyrus shared a video of the group singing “Happy Birthday” during dinner and wrote, “Happy birthday @mileycyrus❤️❤️❤️. So happy to celebrate ILYSM.”
Billy Ray Cyrus also acknowledged the day, posting a throwback photo and writing, “Happy Birthday Smiley Miley ❤️.”
Cyrus’ birthday comes during a busy fall for the musician. Earlier this month, she released her original song “Dream as One” for the Avatar: Fire and Ash soundtrack. Announcing the song, she wrote, “Writing this song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt came from the heart. Every lyric remembers where we’ve been, reflects where we are now, and has hope for what’s to come for all of us.”
