Jonathan Bailey is sexy (and he knows it!)
Fans at the premiere of Wicked: For Good in New York City cheered the 37-year-old actor on the red carpet and congratulated him on recently being named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.
“Yes, the sexiest man alive,” yelled supporter Frances Dominick, and Bayley responded by turning and making a playful face, as seen in a video of the moment shared on social media.
“That was for me,” Dominic said excitedly, pointing the camera at himself as a nearby crowd cheered.
Dominic captioned his post: “Subtle flirting with @jbayleaf, the sexiest man alive!?!?!?!?! Yes, my nights are crazy. Have you seen the smoldering stuff he’s giving me?!?! Oh, what’s Mr. Bayley.. 🥹😭💚💛.”

During the Manhattan premiere, Bailey was presented with a Lego minifigure of himself, which matched his look on the cover of PEOPLE, where he was named Sexiest Man Alive. “Very nice,” he said with a laugh. “Oh my god, me.”
Bailey revealed her love for Lego in her Sexiest Man Alive cover story, telling PEOPLE that one of her perfect date ideas is building Lego sets. He also included “not liking Lego” on his list of “deal breakers” when it comes to romantic partners.

Bailey previously said of his Sexiest Man Alive title: “It’s a huge honour. Of course, it’s an incredibly honour. And it’s just ridiculous.”
“There’s nothing sexier than progress,” the Bridgerton star told Forbes about becoming the first openly gay man to be named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive.

Bailey stars in Wicked: For Good as Fiyero, the love interest of Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba (aka the Wicked Witch of the West) and Ariana Grande’s Glinda (aka Glinda the Good Witch of the North).
The second Wicked film, due out in 2024, is an adaptation of the long-running Broadway show of the same name, a musical prequel to The Wizard of Oz. Norbert Leo Butz originated the role of Fiyero, and Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth played the same roles as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Bailey talked about being named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive and hilariously reworked a famous line from Wicked. When asked about the honor at the premiere of Wicked: For Good in Sao Paulo earlier this month, he said: “Some people are naturally sexy, and some people have sexy urges.”
This quote was a play on the line, “Are people inherently evil, or are they forced to be evil?” –Glinda asks while talking about Elphaba in Wicked’s opening number, “No One Mourns the Evil.”
Wicked: For Good is currently in theaters.
