Porsha Williams has been cleared of involvement in an assault with a passenger on a Delta Airlines flight on Sunday, November 16th.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 44, was seen exiting a Delta Air Lines plane at the Atlanta airport, escorted by law enforcement. Her attorney, Joe Havasy, told PEOPLE on Tuesday, November 18, that Williams exited the plane after being “verbally assaulted by an unprovoked and angry passenger who remained calm.”
On Friday, Nov. 21, Habachy told PEOPLE that the U.S. Attorney’s Office determined that “no crime was committed.” He also said the FBI “does not intend to conduct any further investigative activity in this matter.”

Habachy said Williams was “delighted” with the news. But she and Habachy are “not surprised.” “Given that there was never any physical contact and the allegations made by this disenfranchised passenger against Mr. Williams were demonstrably false from the beginning,” he explained.
“Unfortunately, we cannot undo the unfortunate and damaging press frenzy that has occurred as a result of these false allegations, many of which are accompanied by completely defamatory headlines,” Havasy said. “At the very least, Mr. Williams owes an apology to this passenger and to all the publications that spread unsubstantiated stories at Mr. Williams’ expense.”
The Bravo star also thanked “the many witnesses who took time out of their schedules to come forward and give statements to law enforcement, and the investigators who worked so hard to uncover the truth.”
Two days before Williams was acquitted, Atlanta police released body camera footage of Williams and another passenger separately sharing their accounts of the incident.
While Williams was giving her explanation, two other passengers passed by and checked on her. One witness told officers the other passengers’ comments were “reprehensible.”
“She was punching you in the face, giving you the middle finger and doing things that were completely confusing to you,” the first witness said.
Meanwhile, a second witness came forward and told officers: “The only physical thing[Williams]did was point at her, and for some reason it escalated to this point and all[Williams]said was, ‘Don’t talk to her like that.'” ”
