While Goggins is best known for his on-screen acting, Connors is known for his work behind the camera. The creative couple started their family in 2011 and have been documenting their lives on social media for years.

Goggins and Connors met on a blind date.
In 2005, Goggins and Connors were set up on a blind date by one of their close friends. But Mr. Goggins didn’t know they were being set up.
“I think it was a little bit awkward,” he said in an interview on The Talk.
Mr. Goggins went into the date thinking he was just attending a business dinner to raise money for a movie, so when Mr. Connors sat next to him and asked him to tell him about himself, Mr. Goggins was caught a little off guard and they ended up chatting all night.
“I didn’t talk to anyone there that I was supposed to talk to, and at the end she said, ‘You’re going to give me a ride home, right?’ And I said, ‘Oh, yeah,'” Goggins recalled. “I took her home and she said, ‘Are you asking for my phone number?’ I said, ‘Of course I am.'”
He added: “So I called her the next day and we hung out. And six months later she said, ‘Wait a minute. You didn’t know we were on a blind date, did you?’ I said, ‘No, I didn’t!’ My friend never told me! ”So, for me, it felt like I was getting all this attention, but I didn’t understand why I was getting all the attention. ”
They married in 2011.
After six years of dating, Connors and Goggins married in August 2011.
In September of that year, Goggins spoke to Military.com about his FX series “Justified,” in which he said he fell in love with Connors in part because of her wisdom, honesty and the laughter they shared together.
“I completely agree with that statement. It’s a true gift to be in a relationship with someone who can say deep things about everything and be able to bring that to your relationship. Ironically, I believe that love is the great liberator,” he shared. “There’s a reason why the song says, ‘All you need is love, all you need is love.’ It’s powerful, but it’s probably very simple. For Boyd Crowder[the character Goggins played on Justified]he’s a man who’s trying to find love.” It’s not ironic to me that that would happen to him, but you know, we all want to be loved.”
On Connors’ birthday in November 2021, Goggins posted, “My wife…my best friend…for 16 years I got to celebrate this day with you…the way you lit up a room…the way you lit up my life and everyone around you…a candle brighter than any cake. God…I can’t believe I got to walk this path with you…I’m so grateful. Happy birthday @nadiasomerset🦂.” Faebaaaaaaa! ”
Goggins and Connors have a son.
In February 2011, Connors and Goggins welcomed their first and only child, a son named Augustus. Seven months later, he attended his father and mother’s wedding. Both Goggins and Connors frequently post about their son on Instagram.
In January, Goggins shared a throwback photo with toddler Augustus wrapped around her leg, followed by a recent selfie of the two.
“That was then…this is now. I loved it then and I’m sure I still love it now. Being a parent…but being one of this child’s two parents…whoever I’m praying for…thank you for listening. What an honor,” he captioned the post.
On Father’s Day 2020, Goggins wrote a heartfelt post about Augustus.
“This is mine,” he began. “I’d like to say a father is like a son, but to tell you the truth, I prefer a son like father. He’s kind, serious, thoughtful, and insanely funny. He’s insatiably curious and empathetic, and he’s taught me more about being a man than anything else in my life. I love you. Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads I’ve known and all the great dads I’ve yet to meet.”
In 2021, Connors posted a Father’s Day tribute to Goggins, posting photos of father and son taken over the years at the merry-go-round.
“A special moment is a special moment, but it’s always a father. I say it every year, but you’ve been amazing since becoming a father. We love you. @waltongogginsbonafide moon and stars,” she wrote in the caption.
On Mother’s Day 2022, Goggins returned the favor by posting a candid photo of Connors and Augustus smiling together.
“Now it’s mommy…” he wrote. “Others may do the same, but no one does it better than this. God, I love how our son loves you and I love you too. Happy Mom’s Day to everyone out there.”
In June 2024, she shared another post honoring Goggins and her son.
Connors is a writer and director.
Goggins isn’t the only member of his family to have a successful career in Hollywood. Connors works as the film’s director and screenwriter. Some of her most notable works include The 11th Hour (2007), This Is All of Us (2013), and The Uninvited, which had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 11, 2024. Goggins, who starred in the film, expressed support for his wife and her accomplishments on Instagram.
“‘The Uninvited’ was written and directed by my wife, Nadia Connors, who premiered it today at SXSW. She has been working towards this moment for 20 years,” he wrote. “Being by her side… with this cast… by this story… was so moving. I hope you’ll watch it. It’s about so much… But for me, ‘Uninvited’ is an invitation to live a more meaningful life. I love you @nadiasomerset. I’m so proud of you.”
She told Variety in March 2024, “This is not my marriage. I’m not this woman. The character that Walt plays is different from who he is as my husband. But making this movie allowed me to explore some of the resentment that I was feeling as a wife and as a mother. It became an expensive kind of therapy.”
In November 2023, Connors spoke about his experience working on the film.
“I directed a movie and I can’t believe how wild, intense, beautiful, and hard this past month has been…” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Thank you so much to everyone who came to this story and to everyone who helped me grow as a person and an artist. I’ve wanted to direct a full-length story for 20 years, and it all came to an end last night. Oh my god, words can’t describe the emotions I’m feeling right now… This photo taken by @mateonikolav at the end of last night says it all. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️”
Goggins attended the Los Angeles premiere in November 2024 with her.
Connors is Goggins’ biggest supporter.
Connors is no stranger to promoting her man on social media. On September 7, 2022, Goggins posted an Instagram celebrating his film Dreamin’ Wild.
“Walton! My love! I watched you surrender to Joe Emerson. Not only did you learn to play the drums, you also did the big job of helping the whole family come together to watch the story. What an amazing journey. Congratulations on #dreaminwild premiere in Venice today!!” Connors wrote alongside a photo of Goggins and co-star Casey Affleck on the red carpet.
When Goggins celebrated her 50th birthday in November 2021, she wrote, “Walton, it’s finally your 50th birthday. You’re the life of any party, but behind your charisma, humor, and energy, you’re the one who prepares and who takes nothing for granted.” Not a role, not a moment, not a friend, not a meeting. I am endlessly inspired by watching you create gold in your daily life. I am so lucky to be your partner and watch you grow through your ups and downs. As my best friend, husband, and father to Augustus, I couldn’t love you more. ”
The Conners also praised Goggins, who attended the premiere of “Justice Gemstone” in Los Angeles in March 2025. “Gemstone of Justice. Baby Billy/Walton, you are magic,” she wrote on Instagram, referring to her husband’s role as Baby Billy Freeman on the show.
The following month, the couple celebrated the theatrical release of “Uninvited” at a screening at New York City’s IFC Center. Connors arrived in style in a reddish satin set and Goggins in a classic pinstripe suit.
A few days later, Connors reflected on the moment by posting a photo of her and Goggins in front of the theater on Instagram. “Many years ago (over 20 years ago), I attended New York University’s film program,” she wrote. “I’ve been here to see so many movies and marvel at the accomplishments of filmmakers from all over the world. Calling this a major milestone is not enough.” She went on to give a special shout out to Goggins, adding, “Thank you @waltongogginsbonafide for doing such a great job on this movie and being such a champion.”
They made a stunner at the Emmy Awards in September 2024.
“Walton. What a wonderful time we had. You are a beautiful shining star. 💫 🌙 Moon and stars baby. Moon and ✨stars✨ ✨✨,” Connors captioned an Instagram post with an image from the night.
The trio traveled to Italy in June 2025.
Connors took to Instagram to share a snapshot from her vacation and celebrate her son Augustus’ academic milestone. She captioned the post: “Arrived at Lake Como. Congratulations to our 8th graders, Augustus.” “We are so proud of you.”
They shared a moment of PDA on the September 2025 Emmy Awards red carpet.
When Goggins arrived with Connors at the 77th Emmy Awards, he stopped to kiss his wife on the cheek. The couple wore matching white ensembles for their big night. Ms. Connors wore a long-sleeved dress with a plunging neckline and black ribbon detailing at the waist, and carried a jewel-encrusted handbag. Goggins was wearing a white suit jacket over black pants.
In November 2025, they appeared on the red carpet at an event in Madrid.
Goggins and Connors attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Madrid on November 19th. On the red carpet, the couple posed together and then shared a kiss in front of photographers.
Connors wore a long sheer beige gown with statement gold accessories, while Goggins opted for a classic black suit and white shirt.
