Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner have hit back at a new bombshell lawsuit against them that comes on the heels of their defamation suit against Ray J.
Kardashian-Jenner’s attorney, Alex Spiro, called the “One Wish” singer’s lawsuit “frivolous” in a statement to Page Six on Thursday.
“After he loses his case and finds himself lost, this incoherent, rambling diversion is not going to intimidate anyone,” Spiro said. “Ray J will also lose this frivolous lawsuit.”
Ray J’s new lawsuit further strengthens his claims that Kardashian and Jenner lied for two decades about the infamous 2007 sex tape leak. The singer claims the mother-daughter duo was behind the leak of Kardashian’s sex tape, which she claims was consensually filmed while they were dating in 2003.
Ray J, 44, claims in a filing obtained by Page Six that he and Kardashian, 45, discussed releasing the tape in 2006 and that she told him that her mother should be in charge of releasing the tape.
He claimed that Jenner and Kardashian are “furious” and “no longer want to go along with their grand narrative.”
Ray J (real name William Ray Norwood Jr.) also fired back at Kardashian-Jenner’s defamation lawsuit filed in October.
“Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner’s case is not about defamation; it is about visibility, power, and punishment,” he argued in court documents.
Kardashian and Jenner filed a defamation lawsuit against Ray J shortly after he made shocking claims that he was cooperating with federal authorities to file a RICO lawsuit.
“The federal RICO that I’m about to drop on Chris and Kim is going to be crazy,” the singer told Krisian Locke during a livestream that went around on X.
“What I’m talking about is that I’m on the news every day. I’m going to make a lot of accusations. Anyone who’s nice to Kim needs to tell her now. The feds are coming. There’s nothing I can do about it.”
He added: “It’s worse than Diddy.”
But the lawsuit filed by Kardashian and Jenner against Ray J states that “no such federal investigation exists.”
Their complaint, obtained by Page Six, reads: “No law enforcement agency has initiated any criminal proceedings or investigation related to the racketeering charges accused against Ms. Kardashian or Ms. Jenner, and there is no credible evidence to support these incendiary claims.”
“Unable to accept that his brief relationship with Ms. Kardashian ended more than 20 years ago, Ray J. has become obsessed with Plaintiffs’ name and has repeatedly attempted to exploit their celebrity for personal gain,” the complaint says.
