Jeremy Renner accuser Yi Chou recently made a fuss about his alleged romance with the “Hawkeye” star, weeks before making some bombshell statements against him.
“We were in a relationship,” Chou told the Daily Mail on October 16, adding that he had “found new love” with his girlfriend after recovering from a near-fatal snowplow accident.
The documentary maker, who directed the documentary “The Chronicles of Disney” starring Renner, claimed that their relationship had turned romantic in recent months.
“As a single man for many years, he has the freedom to decide how he wants to live his personal life,” she told the magazine.
“Even if he wants something short or casual, or doesn’t want to commit, that’s his choice.”
Zhou, 37, hinted at a potential romance with Renner, 54, via Instagram in September, sharing several photos and videos of the two driving around the actor’s hometown of Reno, Nevada, and spending time at his home.
A representative for Renner told Page Six that “the allegations being made are completely inaccurate and untrue.”
The model made headlines earlier this week when she accused Renner of sending her “intimate” messages, making her “fear for her life” with a drunken rant and threatening to “call ICE” after a rift.
On Thursday, Zhou provided the Daily Mail with screenshots of a clip depicting a male porn actor and a female porn actress engaging in sexual activity, claiming the video was sent to her by Renner on the messaging app WhatsApp.
Along with the video, he sent a message to Mr. Chou saying, “Oh really? 🤤 Is this okay??”
In addition to the screenshots, Chou claimed to have “a collection of photos and pornographic GIFs that I sent.”
She had previously posted a photo of a man’s naked torso on her Instagram Story. She later said Renner had unsolicited sent her a photo of his body.
Ahead of Thursday’s interview, Chou initially made the accusations public via social media.
“Mr. Renner first contacted me directly in June and sent me personal and intimate photos of himself. Public reports indicate that he has done this before,” she claimed to her Instagram followers on Monday.
“He convinced me of his sincerity by saying he had been single for a long time and was open to a long-term relationship,” she continued. “I believed in Him, the power of love, and the possibility of salvation.”
She also revealed that Renner “had a written contract” with the production company, but then began “denying any personal relationship or professional collaboration” and “refused” to promote the production company.
“When I personally called him out on his past wrongdoings and asked him to behave appropriately and respect me as a woman and a director, he threatened to report me to immigration authorities and ICE. I was deeply shocked and horrified by this behavior,” Chou claimed, adding that the “misinformation and threats” had caused her “personal and reputational damage.”
She went on to write that it “took a long time” to feel “the courage to speak out” about “such pain and humiliation.”
