Christina Applegate slammed the recent crossover episode between The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Below Deck, calling the cast’s treatment of staff “super awful.”
“The treatment of my crew and my friends by the women was extremely appalling,” Applegate wrote via X on Thursday in response to episodes of the network that aired the past two Tuesdays.
“I hope they apologize to Jason (Chambers) and Daisy (Kelliher). Wow,” she added.
On this week’s episode, the “Real Housewives” cast continued their three-day charter cruise with the “Below Deck” team, when “RHOSLC” star Brittani Batemen revealed her romantic interest in Captain Jason Chambers during a “30-day vacation” with boyfriend Jared Osmond.
Bateman wasn’t the only one to show love to the captain. Co-star Heather Gay also told the ladies that she had previously been “fooling around” with the captain.
Bateman has spoken about his love life both on the show and recently on Page Six. While the other castmates seemed to enjoy the conversation about recent episodes, Lisa Barlow immediately expressed her displeasure.
“Enough. Captain Jason doesn’t seem interested. That makes sense! Right? Back me up on this, Daisy,” Barlow, 50, asked. “Daisy, come on! Is he interested? Just say, ‘No. Absolutely no.'”
Kelliher declined to comment on the captain’s underlying feelings.
“It’s ridiculous and I feel sorry for him,” the Vida Tequila founder continued. “I don’t want my name dragged into a conversation I’m not a part of. Don’t do this to people.”
A representative for Bravo did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Applegate, 53, did not elaborate on her issues with the women’s behavior, and Chambers, 52, did not address the actress’ comments.
But on Wednesday, he happily shared a throwback photo of himself with Whitney Rose and Gaye on his Instagram Stories.
In the snapshot, the three Bravolebrities walk up close and smile for a selfie, captioning it: “Screenshot of Receipt Proof Timeline. Sydney 2024,” a nod to Gaye’s now-iconic Season 4 line.
He also praised “RHOSLC” star Angie Katsanevas in a follow-up post for having the “strength to get up, get back down, and get back up on the last day to get through this charter.”
In October, Chambers said she “didn’t know” what she and the cast were in for before a trip with the women in Salt Lake City.
“I think it’s a great way to start the season,” he told Us Weekly. “To be honest, there’s a lot going on right now. There’s a lot going on, and I don’t think you can fit that much into a three-day charter.”
“I don’t think there’s ever been such a big drama, but it was so much fun. I don’t know how much I can say, but there was an injury, so I’m playing the role of a doctor for one of them,” he added. “I was a doctor. I was a yoga instructor. I was a Zen master. I had to do everything in my power to calm everything down.”
