Meghan Markle was spotted on the set of Close Friends, which marked the Duchess of Sussex’s surprise return to acting for the first time.
In photos obtained by the US Sun on Thursday, the “Suits” alum was all smiles as he got into a car on the movie set in Pasadena, California.
The 44-year-old retired royal looked casual on Tuesday in pinstripe long sleeves and white linen pants, completing her look with brown sandals.
Markle wore her hair in loose waves and kept a low profile with black sunglasses.
She was photographed waving to crew members before heading off to shoot a poolside scene in the Amazon/MGM Studios film, which features two couples, one famous and one not.
The project stars Jack Quaid, Lily Collins, and Brie Larson.
Markle, in particular, plays herself.
News broke on Wednesday that the former royal was returning to her acting roots, with People magazine revealing details about her first day on set.
“She looked very relaxed and happy,” a source told the magazine on Wednesday. “She introduced herself to everyone.”
Officials described the actress as “a very kind and down-to-earth person.”
Markle last played Rachel Zane on Suits in the Season 7 finale in April 2018, when her character got married and moved to Seattle.
She got engaged to Prince Harry in November 2017, married the following May, and was subsequently dropped from the courtroom drama.
Markle told reporters that she stopped performing after the Duke of Sussex, 41, took a knee: “I don’t think I’m giving up on anything. I just think it’s a change.” “It’s a new chapter.”
She further emphasized this in a 2022 interview with Variety.
Markle said at the time: “I’m done with[acting].” “I’m not saying never, but my intention is to never do it again.”
At this point, she and Prince Harry had left Britain and their royal roles and were living in a mansion in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
