Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi do not plan to release their daughter’s name “until she is ready to do so herself.”
“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until one day she’s old enough to share it herself,” the “Stranger Things” star said in an interview with British Vogue published Wednesday.
“It’s not my place to unwillingly or intentionally put the spotlight on her,” the actress further explained.
“If she chooses to one day share her personality with the world, like I did when I was young, we support that.”
The actress (21) and her model husband (23) made the announcement. Announced adoption in August.
The couple, who got married in May 2024, wrote in a joint Instagram post, “This summer, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl through adoption.”
“We are so thrilled to be able to embark on the next chapter of this beautiful parent-child relationship in both peace and privacy,” the couple continued. “And there were three of us: Love, Millie, and Jake Bongiovi.”
On the same day, the three made their debut as a family while taking a walk in East Hampton, New York.
The actors looked relaxed as Brown, son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi, pushed a stroller next to her husband.
At the time, Brown may have been subtly hinting at her daughter’s initials, holding a pink phone case emblazoned with the letters “R,” “W,” and “B.”
The “Enola Holmes” star also proudly wore a pink sweatshirt with “Mother” written on it while out and about.
Brown and Bon Jovi continued their family appearance on August 24, when they were spotted shopping in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.
Brown appeared on the podcast “Smartless” in March and said she was planning to become a young mother.
“This was my thing even before I met Jake,” she explained, noting that Bon Jovi knew how much it meant to her to start a family when they started dating in 2021.
The “Damsel” star also said that adopting a child is no different than giving birth, adding, “The energy in our home is that the door is always open.”
