Taylor Swift reportedly beefed up her security by $2 million as she continues to avoid the spotlight at fiancé Travis Kelce’s NFL games.
The couple has agreed to spend $8 million a year on a security team to ensure the pop superstar’s protection at Kansas City Chiefs games and other occasions, according to the US Sun.
Reportedly, Swift’s movements are constantly monitored and her schedule is scrutinized by security experts to ensure maximum protection.
In fact, a source told the outlet that she recently hired two new professionals to make sure she was “100% safe and comfortable at all times.”
The Chiefs are also reportedly making sure her visit to Kansas City, Missouri, as well as game day, is an enjoyable experience for her.
“The measures taken at Arrowhead Stadium are important to her,” the source said. “She knows she’s always the center of attention and would like to avoid that if possible.”
The singer-songwriter’s increased safety precautions are reportedly due to both her stalker Brian Jason Wagner and the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk.
Swift, 35, was recently handed a five-year restraining order against Wagner, who showed up at her Los Angeles home and claimed to be the mother of her child.
As for Kirk, the conservative influencer was shot and killed in September while speaking at a Utah university during his U.S. comeback tour.
“The recent tensions were concerning, and Kirk’s murder did nothing to ease that,” the US Sun source explained. “She sees that America is on edge and that’s creating a sense of insecurity.”
A source said Swift knows that she is “someone who will never have a normal life, so her safety and security is her top priority.”
It’s worth noting that the Grammy Award winner was not photographed walking into an Arrowhead Stadium game all season, and even snuck in from behind a screen.
Although she is shown celebrating on the big screen several times in the comfort of her VIP suite, she is seen much less frequently than in past seasons.
Swift’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
