There is nothing “hot and cold” in their relationship.
Katy Perry confirmed her romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after a fan in the audience asked them to marry him with an autograph during a concert in Prague.
“This man is trying to marry me and he has a ring on his hand,” Perry said Thursday in a TikTok video of the exchange.
“No! For crying out loud, I’m dating someone else,” she told the crowd.
The announcement comes shortly after the pair made their first public appearance at the Crazy Horse Cabaret in Paris to celebrate Perry’s 41st birthday earlier this week.
Sources told Page Six earlier this week that Trudeau, 53, is dating the pop star.
“He’s crazy about her and thinks she’s the perfect woman,” the source said. “They relate to everything: politics, kids, French food.”
“They both have a spark in each other,” the source added.
Rumors of a romance first surfaced in July when the two were spotted having dinner at Le Violon, a chic restaurant in Montreal.
A few days later, Trudeau was seen watching Perry take the stage at the “Life Times” tour stop at the Bell Center in Montreal.
Since then, the pair were spotted getting hot and heavy on a yacht date off the coast of Santa Barbara, California, earlier this month.
But while Trudeau likes the romance, another source previously told Page Six that the relationship was a “midlife crisis” for the former politician.
A Canadian social source said, “Dating Katie could be Justin’s answer to going to Burning Man.” “It’s a bit of a midlife crisis.”
Prime Minister Trudeau resigned as Canada’s prime minister in January, the first time in 10 years. He previously ended his relationship with his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, in August 2023.
“He’s sowing his oats all over again,” a source previously told Page Six. “He is freed from the bonds of office and marriage.”
Perry recently split from her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, in June after nearly 10 years together.
