Blackpink’s Lisa is celebrating Halloween by dressing up as the “Golden Woman” from the episode “Jivaro” of the Netflix series “Love, Death + Robots”. The K-pop star’s elaborate gold-embellished jumpsuit featured full-body chains and sparkling fringe details. She also wore dramatic makeup in honor of the show’s unforgettable sirens.
This Halloween, Blackpink’s Lisa transforms into a golden siren in the Emmy Award-winning episode “Jivaro” of Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots. The K-Pop superstar stunned in an elaborate costume that captured the haunting beauty of the show, a supernatural figure who lures men to their deaths.
Lisa took to Instagram to share a photo of herself clad in shimmering gold from head to toe in a glamorous jumpsuit embellished with chains, beads and layered metallic fringe. She paired the look with an elaborate headpiece and dramatic makeup that featured rose and periwinkle hues and a bejeweled red lip. “Jivaro👑👻,” she captioned the gallery.
The original “Jivaro” episode, directed by Alberto Miergo, is a wordless, heartbreaking tale that explores greed and exploitation. The film tells the story of the title character, a deaf knight who is immune to the siren’s terrifying song, but who ultimately betrays and plunders her. On TikTok, Lisa posted a video of herself emulating the siren’s emotional movements to the episode’s creepy audio clip.
Lisa’s costume reveal marks the latest in a series of recent headline-grabbing moments. In February, the Thai singer released his long-awaited solo album “Alter Ego”. It’s an ambitious album that shows her versatility beyond Blackpink, and this month she signed a world tour deal with Wasserman Music. She also made her acting debut in the third season of The White Lotus, which aired from February to April.
In last year’s cover story for ELLE, Lisa looked back on her journey since her K-pop training days at South Korean management company YG Entertainment. Thinking about what she would say to her younger self, she said with a laugh, “I would say, ‘Let her suffer.’ I’m not going to ruin this. I’d say, ‘Don’t think too much about the future, just focus on what you’re doing. But don’t quit. Just don’t quit.'”
