Michael Green Artist Agency has opened offices in Malibu, California and New York City. The agency, which opened two flagship offices on October 10, plans to create an environment where “honesty, inclusivity, and purposeful storytelling are prioritized over profits and popularity.” The agency currently has 50 clients, which Mr. Green has been representing for more than 40 years.
As the founder of Michael Green Management in New York, Green founded Green and Associates Talent Agency in Hollywood and a boutique firm in Los Angeles in the early ’90s. In addition to Green, agents who have joined the agency include Pietra Ingenito, Marisa Patera, Elizabeth “Q” Quintanilla and Jackie Lewis.
Green previously founded the company with notable talent including Chadwick Boseman, Olivia Rodrigo, Tessa Thompson, Rosanna Arquette, Jenna Fischer, and Ken Howard. Greene founded her management company in 1996 and has since directed actors such as Frances Fisher, Alicia Boe, Sally Kirkland and Ed Asner. Green has previously represented Tony Award-winning actors such as Aidan Gillen and is currently representing Amanda Plummer at the firm. Green’s first client was James Gandolfini in 1988 when he was his manager.
In addition to founding the Michael Green Artist Agency, Green founded We Have a Dream, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing hunger and homelessness in America. Funded by the Conrad Hilton Hilton Foundation, this initiative continues its commitment to social justice and humanitarian causes across the United States. In 1994, Green was nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch.
Greene has co-hosted numerous charity events with Jane Fonda and Father Greg Boyle for organizations such as the Fred Jordan Mission, the Los Angeles Mission, and Homeboy Industries. Greene is currently working with Nasreen Sheikh and the Empowerment Collective as a producer on the documentary Anavarana, which follows survivors of modern child slavery around the world.
