Boo! Madea Halloween is the tenth installment in the Madea franchise.
This comedy-horror film tells the story of Brian (Tyler Perry) who forbids his daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) from attending a fractal party, leading to a spate of Halloween pranks.
In an October 2017 interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Patrice LaBrie, who plays Madea’s old friend Hattie, revealed that Perry helped shape her character.
“When it comes to movies and TV, my first show was with Tyler Perry, so he took me under his wing and nursed me quite a bit,” she said. “Hattie’s antics, her charisma, her wisdom, all of those things were always there. But, you know, the fact that he took me and kind of toned me down, it made me bigger and nurtured me where I needed to be, so I’m grateful for that.”
Although the film depicts conflict between families and friends, many of the cast have happier personal relationships. Kassi Davis, who plays Madea’s rambunctious aunt Bam, married husband Kelly Patton in 2017, and Bella Thorne, who plays Tiffany’s friend Lane, is engaged to producer Marc Ems.

Perry wrote, directed and produced “Boo!” Madea’s Halloween. He also had three acting roles in this project, playing Madea, Joe, and Brian.
The author is not known to be in a romantic relationship with anyone, but he does have a son, Aman Tyler Perry, with ex-girlfriend Guerrilla Bekele. The two, who dated from 2007 to 2020, welcomed their only child together on November 30, 2014.
In a Q&A with Gayle King at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2022, Perry talked about how she and Bekele are working to help their son stay humble.
“When you have a team like Guerrilla and I, I think she’s very grounded and balanced and makes sure she stays that way,” he said. “I’ve been wrestling and I want to give him everything because that’s what I didn’t have.”
Perry added, “We’re teaching him about struggle. We’re teaching him how blessed it is to get something. So in this sense he understands it. And I want to make sure he can keep it.”

White, who plays Brian’s daughter Tiffany, appears to be single.
In an interview with The Detroit News in November 2016, White said that despite their often conflicting roles, he and Perry had a good relationship on set.
“Tyler was very playful on set, and a lot of the lines in the movie were improvised,” she said. “So it was fun to be playful and play the kid role, because I realized that if I had said that to my mom, I wouldn’t still be alive.”

Davis has appeared in several of Perry’s projects, including the role of Aunt Bum in “Boo!”. Madea’s Halloween.
The actress and her husband, Patton, married on January 11, 2017 at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. The two were high school sweethearts who reunited later in life, but they largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
“We met in third grade, and of course you grow up and go your separate ways, and we were apart for about 20 years, and then God brought us back together in 2007,” Davis said during an appearance on Ray Cornelius’ radio show Upfront in January 2017.
“Look, you think you’re committed and you say you’re committed, but life just has to be lived, and then we’re fine. And now we’re married.”

Lovely, who plays Madea’s friend Hattie, has never spoken publicly about her romantic relationship.
In an interview with MadameNoire in February 2019, Lovely said that she is often asked if she has children or a partner, but that she prefers to keep that information private.
“My life is my life, so I’m going to keep it that way. It’s my private life,” she said. “Please know that Patrice LaBrie loves to love. I love people. I give from my heart.”

Thorne, who plays Tiffany’s friend Rain, has been engaged to Ems since May 2023.
The two dated for nine months before announcing their engagement. Thorne later told PEOPLE that Ems’ proposal ultimately brought the two parties closer together.
“Every day we get a little closer,” she said. “It’s really like, ‘Wow, really, you’re my partner.’ Let’s do this together. So it’s becoming more real every day, and our partnership is getting stronger every day.”
Thorne returned the gesture when he proposed to Ems in August 2025.
“Three years ago we met, one year later he proposed, and one year later I proposed too 🥴❤️,” Thorne posted on Instagram, along with a video of her getting down on one knee.

Liza Koshy plays Aday, another member of Tiffany’s group of friends. She is not known to be in a romantic relationship with anyone.
She was previously in a long-term relationship with content creator David Dobrik. The two dated from 2015 to 2018 and announced their breakup in a YouTube video.
In an interview with Numéro Netherlands in February 2025, Cossy talked about how Perry “entrusted my voice as a digital storyteller” and what he learned from Perry on set.
“I owe it to the genius Tyler Perry who gave me my first acting job in 2016 with his movie Boo! A Madea Halloween,” she said. “As a writer, director, producer, star, and improviser, Tyler Perry never cried out for a cut.”
“He kept the camera rolling, the improvisations flowing, and he was the most present person to each actor as director, collaborator, and newfound friend. I took a page out of his book.”

Lexi Pantera, who plays Tiffany’s friend Leah, appears to be single.
In October 2017, on the red carpet for the movie sequel, Pantera told Black Hollywood Live that she learned “how to be a bad boss” from Perry and praised his work ethic.
“He doesn’t play around, he’s very career-oriented and directed, which I really respect,” she said.
A year later, Pantera was rumored to be dating Brooklyn Beckham, with a source telling PEOPLE in June 2018 that the two had been dating for “a while.” However, their relationship soon fizzled out.
Pantera was last known to be dating YouTuber Alex Wasabi from 2020 to 2021.

The YouTuber spoke to The Wrap in October 2016 about how he adapted to Perry’s direction after years of shooting videos alone.
“I absolutely had to believe whatever he thought was right,” he said. “He works so fast that there were times on set when I wasn’t happy with my performance and he was like, ‘Move on.’ I mean, he understood that. I trusted him early on.”
