From pod to motherhood.
Love Is Blind star Megan “Sparkle Meg” Walerius confirmed she’s having a baby with a new man during the Netflix drama’s Season 9 reunion special.
“I’m a mother now,” Walerius revealed. “I gave birth to a boy two and a half months ago.”
“I have a little boy. He’s my whole world. And, you know, I know now more than ever that I was meant to be a mother on this earth. And he’s amazing. Our family is so happy.”
Walerius went on to admit that he and his partner Paul, who were in the audience at the reunion, welcomed baby Brooks.
Walerius said she met Paul through a mutual friend three months after filming wrapped, and that she got pregnant “in the third month of dating.”
“We’ve definitely had our ups and downs. I wouldn’t say it’s been perfect, but Paul has been great and we’re very happy.”
Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey then shared photos of Valerius’ pregnancy and baby Brooks.
“I’m definitely learning to be more selfless. I think being a mother is the ultimate act of selflessness,” Walerius said.
Walerius’ shocking revelation came after Page Six obtained photos of an unidentified man (now known to be Paul) holding a baby from the reality star’s Denver home on October 19th and 20th.
A witness told the US Sun at the time that the mystery man “appeared to be living at Megan’s house” and was “coming and going throughout the day.”
Walerius wasn’t pictured with Paul at the time, but they were seen running errands, going to the gym, visiting the hospital and buying groceries at Whole Foods.
On Season 9 of the popular dating show, Walerius dated and got engaged to Jordan Keltner, who does not appear on the pod.
A few days before the wedding, Walerius, who claims to be financially well-off, told Keltner, a single father, that he was breaking off the engagement because he had “reservations” about their different lifestyles.
“I still have reservations, but I don’t want to feel like that when I go into the wedding[and]our wedding,” she told him in the finale, which became available to stream last week.
Walerius also had doubts about becoming a stepmother to Keltner’s five-year-old son, Luca, from a previous relationship.
“So maybe I’m not cut out to be a stepmom. To be honest, I’m even questioning if I’m cut out to be a mom,” she emotionally said in a confessional.
“I don’t know, maybe I’m just too caught up in my life. All I wanted to be in this experiment was to find love and find a partner. I’ll always love Jordan, but he’s not my partner,” she added.
