Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes had hilariously different reactions to the national anthem before the win over the Washington Commanders.
ESPN shared a video on TikTok showing Kelce, 36, and Mahomes, 30, on the sideline during the national anthem before kickoff on Monday, Oct. 27, and fans noticed a difference in the Chiefs stars’ reactions.
Quarterback Mahomes was seen standing mostly motionless during the national anthem, swaying slightly with his hands behind his back.

The camera then panned to Kelce, who was energetically bouncing up and down with his hand on his heart.
The tight end kicked his legs out and continued jumping in a move that resembled a combination of dance and warm-up.

Fans were thrilled with the mixed reactions and cracked jokes.
One user said of Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, “I know Donna was tired every day lol.”
“Travis was the kid who left everyone’s desks behind and wreaked havoc,” one fan wrote, while another said, “When Taylor said he was a human exclamation point, that was the truest thing she ever said 😍,” quoting his fiancée Taylor Swift about Travis.
Another fan noted that their reaction before kickoff was consistent with their role on the field.
“Travis has to be excited to grab the ball and make plays,” they wrote. “Patrick needs to be fully adjusted to make the throw. That makes perfect sense and there’s nothing strange about it.”
During an Aug. 13 appearance on New Heights, Swift, 35, said Travis was the epitome of a “human exclamation point.”
Her future brother-in-law, Jason Kelce, later said he became emotional after seeing the depiction. “That human exclamation point was the best thing I’ve ever heard Travis explain in my life,” said the former Eagles star, 37.

Jason added, “I think that’s a very accurate statement. He brings joy wherever he goes, people love him, and he makes everything better.”
“To see them supporting each other, loving each other, getting to this stage, and now being together, I’m just… I’m so happy for him,” she said with emotion.
