Chris Evans is taking on a new role as a father.
The “Captain America” star, 44, gave birth to his first child, a baby girl, with wife Alba Baptista over the weekend, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
The couple’s little girl, Alma Grace, was born Saturday in Massachusetts.
Representatives for Evans and Baptista did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
In June, fans speculated that the two were starting a family after the actress’ father, Luis Baptista, responded to a fan account wishing him and Evans’ father, G. Roberts Evans III, a happy Father’s Day.
Lewis commented, “Thank you so much Chris. Your turn has come! 🥰.”
Notably, the Marvel star told Access Hollywood in November 2024 that she “absolutely” wants to have children.
“I hope so,” he said of becoming a father someday. “The title of dad is exciting.”
He and Ms. Baptista, 28, married the previous year, and the pair enjoyed two weddings in Portugal and Massachusetts.
Evans confirmed to E! News in August that his dog Dodger, who Evans adopted in 2017, was not at the event.
“He’s too excited and too outgoing,” he quipped. “He wouldn’t have wanted to keep his job. He would have wanted to say hello to everyone. He probably would have stolen the show.”
It’s unclear when Evans started dating the “Nun Warrior” star, but they went public with their relationship in 2022.
Despite keeping their engagement a secret, Evans spoke about popping the question after the wedding.
“I proposed to my wife in Portuguese,” he said in an interview with The Knot in June. “She’s Portuguese, so I learned how to say, ‘Will you marry me?'” in Portuguese. I’ve been practicing it all week.
“I was really nervous when it came to doing it,” Evans admitted. “In fact, I think I failed, and I still know it.”
