What you need to know
Dylan Efron is reassuring Dancing with the Stars fans that he’s ready for his next performance after suffering a dance-related accident.
The 33-year-old Traitors graduate shared a post on Instagram on Saturday, October 25, with a photo of his newly fractured nose. The injury was sustained after her professional partner Daniela Karagacci accidentally elbowed her in the face.
“I broke my nose, but I don’t need a nose to dance,” Dylan joked in the caption of the post.
The photo showed the reality TV star sitting in an emergency room chair with an ice pack applied to her face.
“It’s the middle of the night and Dani is in the hospital with a broken nose. I was trying out a new trick and I hit my elbow here,” he said in a video shot inside the hospital, pointing to his broken nose.
“And it made a really loud noise,” Dylan added. “So, I didn’t want our rehearsal day to end like this, but we’ll dance again tomorrow.”
In his caption, Dylan thanked Karagach, DWTS pro Pasha Pashkov, and fellow contestant Daniel Fishel for their support after his injury.
“I’m really okay. But I’ll never forget how Dani, Pasha and Daniel didn’t leave my side when the incident happened. It warms my heart to have friends like them ❤️,” he wrote.
Other DWTS contestants and pros also shared their love and support for Dylan in the comments section.
Dance pro Val Chmerkovskiy wrote in the comments, “Oh well,” while fellow pro Mark Ballas added, “I hope you’re okay brother. Sending you love.”
“What?!! @dylanefron I hope you’re okay,” pro Emma Slater chimed in.
Contestant Robert Irwin wrote: “Oh my god!!! Feeling so much better, buddy.”
“Keep him on the line @daniellakaragach,” Survivor alum “Boston” Rob Mariano teased in another comment.

In honor of their brother Zac Efron, Dylan and Olivia joined forces to perform “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman (sung by Zac, 38, and Zendaya in the movie). The pair twirled together on stage, before Karagach, 32, appeared to complete the modern routine.
Dylan, Olivia and Karagach’s performance received a score of 36/40 from the judges and many positive reviews. Carrie Ann Inaba said Olivia was “incredible” and Dylan “had a great night,” while Bruno Tonioli said Olivia’s toes were perfectly pointed.
“When I first asked[Olivia]if she would do it with me, she buried her head in my chest and was like, ‘No, that’s not true,'” Dylan recalled to PEOPLE after the performance. “And she came in the first week and said to me afterwards, she was like, ‘I’m thinking about it.’ The second week she said do it, I’m not afraid of anything. And then she showed up and she wasn’t really afraid of anything.”
Dylan is next scheduled to appear on DWTS during Halloween week, where he will perform a Viennese waltz to Tommy Proffitt and Brooke’s cover of the Elvis Presley song “Can’t Help Falling in Love (DARK).”
DWTS airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on ABC and Disney+.
