“The Voice” season 28 features Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joe Walsh and Grammy Award winner Zac Brown as Etherson’s new mega-mentors.
Brown, leader of the Zac Brown Band, will make his “Voice” debut alongside coaches Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg. Walsh will team up with coaches Niall Horan and Reba McIntyre. Both fighters begin their season as the remaining artists prepare for the knockouts starting October 27th.
In addition to his work as a member of the Eagles, Walsh is known for hit songs such as “Life’s Been Good,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” and “Funk #49.” During his time with the Eagles, Walsh won five Grammy Awards.
Brown is a three-time Grammy Award winner, and the Zac Brown Band has had six consecutive Billboard Top 10 albums. The band’s albums have also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart for five consecutive years. They have sold 10.8 million albums to date.
Each coach will participate in the knockout with eight artists, but there will be no saves or steals in this round. Only the coaches will pick the winners from the teams to advance to the playoffs, the final round before the live show. This season’s Knockouts will also feature the first-ever “Mic Drop” button, which will be given to each coach to use on artists on each team that they deem worthy of their performance. Viewers at home will have the opportunity to vote for the “Mic Drop” winner among the four. The artist with the most votes will receive a performance at Rose Parade Live on January 1, 2026.
“The Voice” airs Mondays at 8pm ET/PT on NBC and streams on Peacock the following day.
