Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly planning a reconciliation with the royal family in a top-secret plan called “Project So.”
According to Daily Mail editor Richard Eden, the Suits alum embarked on a plan to “warm up” his estranged family and “British people” by appearing at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday.
“Meghan’s stay in France was part of a ‘establishment conspiracy,'” the reporter said in an article published Thursday.
“What could be better than a photo of her being greeted with a kiss from Dame Anna Wintour, the most influential figure in European fashion and Vogue?” Eden added.
“Project So aims to defuse that hostility, building on the success of last month’s successful visit to the UK where he carried out charity work and, importantly, was invited to Clarence House for tea with King Charles,” he continued, referring to Prince Harry’s first visit with his father in 19 months.
Mr Eden said Prince Harry, 41, then traveled from the UK to Kiev, Ukraine, where he shared a train with Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, who admires the Duke of Sussex and “wants him to play a bigger role in public life”.
Harry told the Guardian that he wanted to bring Markle, 44, and their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, back to the UK after their security privileges were revoked earlier this year while they were overseas.
“This week definitely came close to that,” Prince Harry told the outlet at the time.
Mr Eden claimed the A-list couple’s next plan was to visit the UK together.
A source told the outlet that Ms Markle was planning to visit the UK before the end of the year, quipping that she would be “making a poor pie”.
Representatives for the actress and Prince Harry could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been estranged from the royal family since stepping down from royal duties in 2020 and speaking out against the royal family in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Prince Harry also made damaging claims about Charles and his brother Prince William in his 2023 memoir, Spare.
Earlier this year, the duke expressed a desire to reconcile with his family, but admitted that “some members” would “never forgive” him for “many things”.
The family’s estrangement took a turn for the worse when Prince Harry and Markle lost police protection during a visit to the UK in May.
After the decision, Prince Harry told BBC News that although he missed home, he “couldn’t imagine a world where he would bring his wife and children back to the UK” without protection.
