“Sometimes, relationships just run the course,” the source told Page 6 on Monday, adding that Kidman “didn’t want separation, he was trying to save things.”
The actress and country music singer have lived apart “since the beginning of the summer,” sources told TMZ.
The outlet reported that Kidman, 58, is caring for two children. Sunday Rose (17 years old, Faith Margaret (14)).
“(Kidman) has been holding his family together throughout this difficult time ever since Keith was gone,” sources said of his current tour.
Urban, 57, is said to have moved from his family home in Nashville, Tennessee, and purchased his property in the same city.
It was not immediately clear whether the current exes were planning to get a divorce.
Urban made the headline in June after he suddenly finished a Zoom interview when asked about Kidman’s feelings as he filmed a Steimy Love scene with Zac Efron in the 2024 Netflix film “A Family Affair.”
“What do you think when you see Keith Urban having these beautiful love scenes on TV with a beautiful young man like Zac Efron and his beautiful wife?” the interviewer asked at the time – only to meet the silence on the other side until the producer confirms that Urban has finished the call.
The actress and city of “Big Little Lies” tied the knot on June 25th, 2006. This is almost a year after our first meeting at G’day USA Gala in January 2005.
Kidman previously married Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. She and the “Top Gun” actor share two children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
The “Babygirl” star was open about family tensions for the two eldest sons who follow in their father’s footsteps by joining the Church of Scientology.
“They can make their own decisions,” she told who in 2018, “They made the choice to become Scientologists, and as a mother, that’s my job to love them.
Kidman and Urban representatives did not immediately return a request for comment on Page 6.
