story of his life.
In a video obtained by TMZ on Monday, Zayn Malik slams a crowd of fans who blocked him from approaching his car in Manchester, England.
The former One Direction member, 33, struggled to weave through the crowd as he left his hotel on Sunday.
“Get out of the way!” Malik snapped at the group as they tried to slip into the SUV.
A security guard held the door open for the singer at the center of the mayhem, while another staff member repeatedly asked the autograph hunters to back off.
“Guys, he can’t get in the car,” the person begged over the weekend. “Everyone, could you please be careful as I open the door?”
Malik pushed his way through the chaos and eventually got into his car.
As the tense moment continued, fans continued to heap their praises on the X Factor alum, with some even shouting: “I love you!”
Malik addressed the incident in the comments section of TMZ’s Instagram post, writing, “Let’s get the facts straight – the fans were and are respectful and amazing – the problem was that multiple adult males blocked the hotel and car doors for 10 minutes and wouldn’t let us or the security guys get out.”
The singer went on to explain that they are “not fans, they’re stalkers” and “do the same thing to anyone trying to get content,” adding that what they’re doing is “not safe, it’s not OK, and it’s ruining real fans.”
The incident comes shortly after Mr Malik suffered a near-miss during a Q&A in London on Thursday when he had two water bottles thrown at him.
Malik’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment on either case.
The songwriter is currently suffering from health issues, which caused him to cancel his US tour earlier this month.
“He is recovering at home, doing well and will come back even better and stronger than before,” the player told fans in a statement on social media.
Malik, who was hospitalized in April, canceled several TV appearances during the release week of his album “Konacol.”
Malik has also been in the headlines in recent weeks for allegedly feuding with former bandmate Louis Tomlinson while filming a Netflix documentary, in which he reportedly punched Tomlinson and made comments about Tomlinson’s mother.
“Stunned” and “shocked” Tomlinson, 34, “suffered a concussion,” an insider claimed last month.
In 2021, Malik was accused of forcing his then-girlfriend Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, into a dresser.
Malik also allegedly called Yolanda, 62, a “Dutch slut” during a heated argument, but he denied attacking Bravolebrity and ultimately did not dispute the allegations.
Malik and Gigi, 31, filed for divorce after the incident and are now co-parents of their five-year-old daughter Kai.
