Taylor Swift and Blake Lively may never get back together as friends.
Sources exclusively told Page Six that the pop superstar has not extended an invitation to the actress’ wedding, despite reports that the two are working to get back together.
“There was no olive branch when it came to their friendship,” the source said. “And Taylor hasn’t given Blake a wedding invitation.”
The update comes after the Daily Mail reported that the “Fortnite” singer, 36, and the “Gossip Girl” star, 38, have resumed contact following the uproar surrounding Lively’s legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
According to the newspaper, sources claimed that the Grammy winner became more willing to talk to Lively as the case settled down, and that Lively was more optimistic about repairing their friendship.
One source even claimed that “everyone around Taylor knows Blake might be attending the ceremony,” while another claimed that Taylor is “slowly creeping back into the fold.”
However, a source told Page Six that Swift and Travis Kelce, 36, have not received an invitation to their upcoming wedding.
A source previously told Page Six that Swift “needs space” after her name was involved in the ongoing lawsuit between Lively and Baldoni, 42.
Taylor “is currently walking away from their friendship. Taylor is really hurt by this whole situation and feels like a pawn,” a source said at the time.
“Taylor wants nothing to do with this whole ordeal. She has always been a loyal friend of Blake and does not appreciate being dragged into a situation like this at all.”
Reps for Swift and Lively did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Swift and Lively’s friendship dates back to 2015, when Lively shared a photo for a L’Oréal campaign that referenced Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video. It caught Swift’s attention and the two started spending time together.
Back in May, reports surfaced that Swift had initially decided to skip Lively from her planned wedding, citing a friendship rift over the actress’ legal feud on the film It Ends With Us.
But an insider said at the time that it was “much more likely” that Lively would be extended an invitation now that the sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni is over.
