Tiger Woods will miss the 2026 Masters Tournament after being arrested and charged with drunk driving.

“Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament fully support Tiger Woods’ focus on his health,” Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Fred Ridley said in a statement Tuesday night.

“Tiger won’t be joining us in person next week, but his presence will be felt here at Augusta,” Ridley added.

The announcement came after Woods revealed he would be “taking a break” from golf for medical treatment.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he said on social media on Tuesday.

“I will take a period of time off to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order to prioritize my health and work towards a lasting recovery,” he added.

“I am committed to taking the time necessary to return to a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support and ask that my family, loved ones, and myself maintain privacy at this time.”

On March 27, Woods, 50, was involved in a rollover accident on Jupiter Island, Florida.

Local authorities said the five-time Masters champion showed “signs of impairment” but passed field sobriety tests.

However, Woods refused to provide a urine sample and was subsequently taken into custody and charged with DUI.

The athlete was held at the Martin County Jail for eight hours and was caught by paparazzi looking gloomy as he snuck out the back door of the prison to avoid the press.

A mug shot of Woods with bloodshot eyes was also released.

According to a police report obtained by Page Six on March 31, Woods was arrested with pills in his pocket during his most recent arrest.

A deputy searching the golf legend after the car accident “found two white pills in (his) left pants pocket,” which “were determined to be hydrocodone.”

The pills were placed in a bag and submitted as evidence.

The father of two, who “had hiccups throughout the investigation,” said in the affidavit that he had not consumed any alcohol or illegal drugs that day, but admitted to taking “a small amount” of prescription drugs.

Deputies also observed Woods “limping and staggering to the right” as he agreed to perform several outdoor sobriety drills.

The professional golfer has been involved in several car accidents over the years.

In May 2017, Woods was found passed out behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz in Jupiter and arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

Tests revealed that Woods had Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien, and THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, in his system.

Immediately after his arrest, Woods announced that he was seeking “professional help” to “manage” the medication he claims is for back pain and sleep problems.

Woods has reportedly refused to hire drivers for years due to privacy concerns.
