Taylor Frankie Paul has candidly detailed the emotional strain she is said to have endured amid her ongoing domestic violence scandal with ex-girlfriend Dakota Mortensen.
“The mental torture has done far more damage to me than the physical,” the “Mormon Wives” star wrote via Instagram Story on Wednesday, along with a photo of her bruised arm.
“In the end, you become a shell of a human being,” she added. “This is hard to share because it’s hard to agree on.”
Paul, 32, didn’t name anyone specifically, so it’s unclear whether she was referring to Mortensen, 33, or her former partner.
Her representative could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
The reality star and Mortensen have been at the forefront of domestic violence allegations since March, when it was revealed that “TSLOMW” was on hiatus due to an ongoing investigation.
According to People magazine, the Draper, Utah, Police Department said both parties have filed charges in the two incidents from February.
Mortensen and Paul gave different accounts of what happened, each claiming the other was the perpetrator of the attack. They also gave police photos of themselves with bloody bruises.
As the investigation progressed, a 2023 video of Paul punching Mortensen in front of his daughter Indi was leaked.
At the time, the incident led to the mother of three’s arrest and the cancellation of her season of “The Bachelorette.” The charges against her were later dropped, but ABC has yet to air a season of her reality series.
In a statement to Page Six, Paul’s representatives claimed that the video was “conveniently taken out of context” and that it was Mortensen’s “endless, desperate, high-profile, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without regard to the consequences for her children.”
The former lovers, who had been dating on and off since 2022, later filed restraining orders against each other, and Mortensen was granted temporary custody of their 2-year-old son, Ever.
Ultimately, Paul was not charged with new charges in connection with the February domestic violence allegations due to “evidential issues” in the investigation.
The former couple appeared in court together for the first time on April 30 to discuss a temporary protection order and custody of their son.
Paul’s lawyer accused Mortensen of “literally trying to destroy her,” and Paul’s lawyer called him a “victim of domestic violence.”
The MomTok star shares daughter Indi, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul.
