A new media finance fund backed by Privata Capital will give Elevate Production Finance a significant boost in financing independent film and television productions around the world.
Elevate Production Finance CEO Charles Auty said in a statement: “Privata Our new fund with Capital allows us to be much more nimble and flexible than traditional banking institutions. We have been in the shoes of independent producers and know that in today’s climate, more versatile capital is exactly what they need. This fund is not just about increasing capital, we are here to support projects of all sizes, from boutique indie films to large international film co-productions. ”
Under the agreement, Privata Capital, led by managing director Victor Siciliano, will focus on Australian productions. Auty is based in the UK and EPF has offices in both London and Melbourne. Craig McMahon, CEO of Forte Corp Holdings, serves as Executive Chairman.
EPF was established in 2017 and has provided more than A$346 million ($248.8 million) in loans to date, generating more than A$600 million ($431.4 million) in production spending. Among the upcoming titles are Ron Howard’s Eden, starring Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby, Ana de Armas, Sidney Sweeney and Daniel Brühl. “Three Thousand Years” directed by George Miller, starring Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton. and the action thriller “Blacklight,” starring Liam Neeson.
Other credits include “Mix Tape” starring Teresa Palmer and Jim Sturgess. Australian box office title “Never Too Late” (starring Jacki Weaver and James Cromwell). Eva Longoria’s “War of the Worlds”. And the science fiction feature “2067”. In the TV sector, the company financed series 3 of “Five Bedrooms,” “Barambi Kids” and “Savage River.”
