The controversial video of Sean “Diddy” Combs inviting preteen Davey Chase to an “afterparty” has resurfaced following the former child star’s tragic death.
Chase, who was homeless and battling addiction at the time of her death Tuesday at age 35, said Combs, then 33, was 12 when she said they partied together after the 2003 MTV Movie Awards.
The clip shows the rapper, who has since been accused of sexual misconduct against others, walking up to Chase backstage with a drink in hand and asking, “Are you coming to the afterparty tonight?”
When the actress nodded, “Yes,” Combs, known for throwing wild parties in Hollywood, grinned mischievously and said, “Yeah!”
The pair apparently met earlier in the night, when music mogul Ashton Kutcher, then 25, presented Chase with the Best Villain Award for her chilling portrayal of Samara Morgan in the supernatural horror film The Ring.
When Chase went to accept his award during the live show, the actor, who had previously hinted that he knew Combs’ party-loving secret, leaned over and gently patted her on the arm, telling her she was “doing great.”
Combs encouraged her to “take time” while on the podium.
When Combs later invited Chase to an afterparty, Kutcher was there, but he just laughed off the inappropriate behavior.
In July 2025, Combs was convicted of two felony counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution. Three months later, he was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison. However, his sentence was later commuted many times.
After an eight-week trial, the Bad Boy Records founder was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking, fraud or coercion by force (two counts) and racketeering conspiracy (one count).
Meanwhile, Kutcher’s own conduct over the years, including making sexual comments about underage girls and praising convicted rapist Danny Masterson as a “role model,” has been called into question.
News broke earlier this week that Chase, who provided the voice of Lilo in Disney’s 2002 animated film “Lilo & Stitch,” had passed away while living on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.
She was severely malnourished at the time of her death, and her body reportedly became septic due to meningitis and a blood infection.
